Adamantine Ritual

I have 10 Adamantine Ore and 10 Soul Gem: Essene of Earth and when I put them in the Stone of Change with my staff it says: Failure - the device shudders ominously.

Im not sure what Im doing wrong? Any hints please.

No. Its Bound to Account already but I still need to do the ritual?

Update, I did the Binding ritual and then the Adamantine ritual and its now all good. Thanks !
