As of Tuesday, February 2nd 2010, all +1 Weapons in the DDO Store have been discontinued, and are no longer available for purchase. For more information about available DDO Store offers, be sure to visit the DDO Store Catalog!

It is a good thing, but lets not delude ourselves.

ALL BUSINESS IS FIRST AND FOREMOST IN IT FOR THE MONEY! Turbine is in this solely for the money too. But a smart business learns how to juggle customer satisfaction with maximum profitability to find that happy balance. This was one of those kind of moves.

I understand what you probably meant (their not THAT desperate for the money) but I needed to clarify that point for my own sanity.

Business that are not in it for the money find that they are quickly out of business. (unless they are an obscenely wealthy person and its just a hobby but I have yet to ever meet one of those.)

There is a difference in acknowledging you're a business and in need of money and between being unscrupulous and trying to squeeze the last penny.

Regardless, good thing this was removed, I think it caused more harm than good.

Cleaning it out to add new things? Say...custom skins you can buy for weapons and armor? Don't like the look of your weapon or armor? No problem 150 TP and it can be something different.

I'd really prefer you (royal 'you') to take a firmer stance on this garbage. Drop the +1 armor (except maybe Full-plate), the +2 weapons, ad put in some actually useful items. This is a good first step, but is not enough, and you don't sound like you (royal again) have absorbed the point and are actually working at it from a new angle.

I did...but only because I got caught with busted weapons while soloing and didn't feel like recalling. So I bought something I could at least whack at stuff with until I could get out and repair.
