Dedicated Teams is a guild of player groups (i.e. teams) that play together at designated times. As each team can only have 6 members (plus alternates if available) due to the restrictions of the game, Dedicated Teams gives the teams the benefits of being in a much larger guild. Each team consists of players who enjoy the same style of play and have arranged to play their characters in a party at a dedicated day and time. The groups have their own team leader who is an office of the guild and who makes the rules for their party. The team leader is also responsible for recruiting team members to build the party.
The Guild was originally created on Sarlona. The Thelanis branch of the guild was created in November of 2007.
The Thelanis Branch of the guild has it's own Guild website hosted by GuildPortal - see the link below.
To Join Dedicated Teams: you must be willing to create a character specific for this guild and follow the guild rules for that Toon. The guild rules are:
1. The Team leader makes the specific rules for their teams. Be it a role-playing team, Warforged only, Perm-a-death, or whatever.
2. The Toon for the team is for that team only. No outside adventuring or PUGing. Solo play is up to the team leader.
3. Toons that are without a permanent team may play in other teams as alternates, but must accept the specific team rules.
4. Toons/Players are required to be represented on the Guild Portal Site.
Active Dedicated Teams on Thelanis:
Draczel’s Monday Niters
Monday nights – 7:30pm EST to 11pm-12pm
Light role-playing group, mature tactical players.
Valenar Spirit Quest
Thursday night 7:30 PST
All Elf Team!
Role-playing group, mature tactical players.
Dykstra's Wednesday Night Team
Wednesday night 7:00 EST
Light Role-playing group, mature tactical players.
The Team Rules - (you should be OK with these before signing on):
1. The toon for this group would be for this group only. Any outside adventuring should be kept to a bare minimum so as to keep the party close in level and abilities.
2. The toon can be of any build (it’s not fair to ask someone who has earned a Drow or 32pt build not to use them), but please no hand-me-downs (twinking?) from your 14th level powerhouse character (now Johnny, did you bring enough +5 holy long swords of maiming for everybody?). What we as a team earn, we earn and share as a team. Auctions and buying stuff is fine, as long as you do it with your characters own earned gold.
3. We play ‘in character’. After all, that’s what D and D is all about, role-playing. Having said that, part of the fun of D and D is also getting together with friends and laughing and joking. Thus, there is a time and place for both.
4. We all agree on the day and time (Monday’s at 7:30pm), and agree to give as much notice as possible for late arrivals or no shows.
5. Mature / Tactical Players Only Please!
1 - For the most part, a toon for this group is for this group only. The Valenar elves pride themselves on their prowess, so it's ok to run quests on solo to keep up with the group if you fall behind, but please no PUGs. If necessary, we can spend a few quests assisting those who need a little extra to keep parity with the rest of the group.
2 - Any build is acceptable, as long as the toon's race is Elf. Sorry, but no drow or non-elf characters - the Valenar frequently take slaves among the lesser races, but it's unlikely they'd bring them along on a spirit quest to the home of their honored ancestors. 32-point characters are fine. The Valenar hold stealth and quickness of action in high regard, but this doesn't mean that all Valenar have levels in ranger or rogue. For clerics, the Undying Court enhancement line is acceptable, but please no Silver Flame or Sovereign Host worshipers. The Valenar honor their ancestors, not the other deities of Eberron.
3 - Please, no twinks or gifts of plat/gold/etc. Our toons may use the Auction House or the various vendors, as long as the money for such items comes from our questing. This is to keep our toons on a fairly even keel.
4 - Game play will be 'in character'. The Valenar verge on being 'bogeymen' in Khorvaire because of their ferocity and the swiftness with which they strike and fade. They also have an extremely high personal standard of excellence, regardless of their occupation. Remember, your deeds should bring honor to your toon's ancestral patron - honor his/her memory by being the best fighter/rogue/ranger/wizard/etc. you can. Our ancestors didn't run and hide on Aerenal - they fought giants and their dark-skinned slaves on their own turf.
5 - We will all agree on a date and time to play, and try to do our best to give notice when we can't make a session. I understand real life problems come up, but we all will try our best to make it. I personally have commitments to other Dedicated Group teams on Sunday and Monday evenings, but other days are open. I am looking for players who can schedule around evenings in the PST timezone (7-8pm PST start time).
6 - The Valenar work to support each other in combat, even while attempting to outdo each other. With that, our group needs to work as a team; party deaths due to focus on one's own goals brings dishonor on our ancestors and breeds the sort of distrust common among so-called 'parties' consisting of the lesser races. Let us prove the superiority of the Valenar with high personal achievement and low party deaths.
Party members as of 12/18/2007:
Player: Neoanderthal - Name: Elsarel :CN Male Elf Fighter
We have three steady strong players. We have 2 others have been in and out (although) we have known ahead of time that they would not be there, and we have a number of others who have claimed the 6th spot, but so far none have shown.
So, the sixth spot is first come first server I guess.
With the interest, I though we might be forming a second team, but no one has stepped up to take the leadership role.
Or
Grampybone: Fighter 4
MrsBekki: Dwarven Fighter 1
I will speak to Berryl, she may also be willing to play on Monday night.
She is stil very new, but she may like the Idea of a steady group.
Less pressure to be perfect.

Bekki - that would be great!
We have a couple on the team already so another would cool. Personally I would love the fighter 4 (we need a tank badly). The team is currently 4th, but we would have no problem helping a new player or two to level. The newbe status is also not a problem. We don't Zerg and roleplaying is light. Even though we have all been through each adventure many times with other toons, we play like we have not.
Love to see you both on Monday. Just /tell Draczel when you see him on and I'll invite you onto the team
The Monday Night Team has been running into a few snags. Mainly, folks not showing up and not giving notice they are not going to show. Plus, we have had a lot of interest, but the final two spots are still not filled.
If you want one of those spots, just log on at 7:30pm EST, send Draczel a 'Tell' and if it's not full, it's yours!
For the nights we don't have the full team, or enough of the team to run a quest...Here's my proposal:
Alts - Everyone bring a alternate character to the table and we can PUG the rest of the party for that night. Lets have some feedback guys (and girl)
My schedule is good. I am very interested in running one on Wednesday niights. How do I go about signing up with you?
I would like to try and build a team. You can reach me in game as Dvael.

Start forming up your team, send me the specifics and I'll put you onto the guild web page. When we can arrange it, I'll meet you online and invite you into the guild and make you an officer.
