"Poverty is a new guild on Argo whose purpose is to ensure that players remain poor and ill equipped to handle the task at hand. We're a non-hardcore guild. We're easy going. We're "eh, alright". We prefer normal quests, and hard if we're feeling edgy. We're more interested in exploring and advancing and getting a handle on all that D&D has to offer at every level. You will encounter builds that are unusual, non-optimal, or the like, accept them and enjoy and make your own. This is the Perma-Sanction Guild."

The QA Lodge

Have you ever encountered something in the game and you're not quite sure if it's a bug or a design feature? The QA team has been fielding questions in the QA Lodge for times when you're just not certain if something is "by design" or not. Be sure to look the Lodge rules over before you enter the Lodge, and check out the QA News section of the thread for important and upcoming information related to the game!

Ask The Devs

Top fansite DDOCast has been collecting questions from players to field to Turbine. Members of Turbine's DDO development team gather on the show for this reoccurring podcast segment of DDOCast to answer the questions collected by the show's host, Jerry Snook. Ask A Loremaster

Not every player is up to speed on the lore of the Eberron setting. Community member MysthicTheurge started a regular thread and Compendium page to try to answer Eberron related lore questions. Offering friendly advice to players new and old, Gornn has started a DDO-themed "Dear Abby" column. From awkward social moments to general game woes, Gornn tries to offer help and a friendly ear to those who write in.

very nice to hear, looks like mod 8 might make an October appearance

It will be nice to jump into Risia to try mod 8 when it hits, at least to try the NPE

Sure.

I think it's mis-leading to say "Looking for a character design? Unsure of which feat to take next? Check out this week's character builds for tips, designs, and other help with your character's advancement!" as it suggests those are well thought and strong builds. That is not the case.

As Tolero pointed out previously, she does not choose the 'best' builds, but interesting threads. It can be because the concept is new or that there is a very interesting discussion going on. How 'good' the build is does not enter the equation and for that reason, the header should be changed. I agree with Tolero, that a thread can be pointed at for the discussion going on. Forums readers can learn from a thread even though the build is horrible. My problem really just is with how it is presented and how it suggests those builds are good...

Actually that's the reason I avoided the adjectives: "best" "recommended" "suggested" or "popular" and went with "featured". Think of it like an art gallery - art can be "featured", but who likes the art is still a highly subjective subject

I'll see what I can do about the wording on that to make it more apparent.

I always saw featured as "having reached a certain level of quality", but English is not my native language so I could be wrong.

nah, just look at American television and film.

"featured" doesn't mean quality, it just means "somebody paid enough money to have this shoved in front of your face."

In the context of DDO builds, it appears to be "builds that show imagination, no matter how gimped or unfeasible."
