Props to the folks in charge for getting a buzz going about the game. I don't know what the contractual aspects are of Atari and Turbine with regards to avertising, but I appreciate that Turbine took a bold step and is generating lots of advertising because of it. It would seem from the outside looking in that we got a ton of press without having to pay a dime.
My hope is this translates to subscribers, $$$$, and more content / a better game.

GB:Will you be adding new adventures in addition to those you already planned to roll out in Module 9? How many total quests and raids are you shooting for at the time of Eberron Unlimited's launch?
Kate: Yes, in addition to the Plane of Battle content that players saw during an early Mod9 preview, we will be rolling out a low level adventure pack that takes place with all new content in the Marketplace, two free adventures attached to Cerulean hills and a few more high level adventures for Shavarath.
nice, but I think he was asking what every single other player wants to know....how many quests are going to be added with mod 9?....a few?
An interesting thing to note is that Fernando stated in one of the interviews that it is possible to get everything in the game, free. Because of favor rewards and other things that net you Turbine points, an F2P gamer given a bunch of time, could concievably, have everything a VIP player pays for, minus the monthly stipend of Turbine Points, priority queing, and first access to new content.
I think when the Beta goes live, I might have to get a free account and see how much how far I can get without paying a dime.

It may be the direction they hope to steer us to?

My bet is the levelling sigils and earning Turbine points require some serious grinding. I am thinking they hope that they can get a majority of F2P gamers to fork over the cash out of sheer impatience.
If they aren't getting a decent revenue stream from F2P, then not only does Turbine start to lose money, but I would imagine the VIP crowd would start to get more than a little ticked off.
I just hope that they don't drag their feet on going live. The new stuff is nice, and this wave of press is really big right now. If they don't go live while DDO is still the belle of the ball with MMO and gaming press, then all of this will be for nothing.
Well they said 'later this summer' which technically could be as late as September unfortunately. Here's hoping it's more like late July....but my vote is sometime mid to late August
Impressive! And in hopes that Tarrant will read this; I recently recruited 2 friends from WOW to here, for the trial offer we have, one of them actually took a months subscription!
But as in all games they were used to the "auto" everything format, and shunned being fulltime players.
I think that if the new format was out; for their looksie at the best combat system around, then we would have 2 more members!
I have forwarded all the news links Turbine and our forum members have posted, but it's like catching snook here in Florida! (Real finicky)!
As they; and others are asking me...
WHEN?
All the press in the world won't help. when the real question is when does the new format hit the streets!
And after playing beta for a while, Im really looking forward to playing with all of the wayward members in my guild that have had A LOT of news from Turbine and myself, and will come back when it's released! But..
But I'm getting pounded with the question... when?
I think another timely email to all of your subscribers with these fabulous links you've posted, would really help bring the "truants" back to us!
So, when it comes to an approximate date, we're not asking for an arm and a leg, just a couple of fingers!
