If you're a member of the Feedback Program, be on the lookout for a survey in your mailbox very soon. You'll have through Sunday (1/10) to complete the survey.
Reminder: As part of your NDA for joining the Feedback Program, you agree not to discuss the contents of the survey with others.
What is the Feedback Program?: Turbine invites players to participate in confidential feedback of upcoming game enhancements, promotions, advertising, and other programs. The invitations are sent to a random group of players, and we add new players to the program every few months. If you're not in the current group, don't lose hope. You might get your Golden Ticket one day soon. :-)

Pfft, another 'secret' ddo 'survey'. I seem to recall some surveys (2) that EVERYONE was able to take through the login, and/or forums.
I hope F2P are not included in this 'random' selection of players, maybe less random, more geared towards proven vested long term players....
...
we never did see the results of those, nor did anything seem to come of them.
I actually am offended by this remark. Is someone's opinion less valuable than your own simiply because you're "p2p" as opposed to someone who is f2p?
Turbine made DDO f2p for a couple of reasons, the primary of which was to get new players into the game and playing. Now here they have succeeded at doing what they needed, which was new blood and new life in the game and "f2p" people are being targeted for discrimination by a LOT of the pay to play people.
While Turbine has done wonders with what I see with DDO - the main thing that'll drive me away from it if something doesn't change is the "old-timers" with their "You're new, you're f2p, you don't know anything".
I've played a lot of MMO's myself and just because I'm new to DDO doesn't mean I'm a moron. It doesn't mean my opinion is any less important than yours simply because I choose to be a f2p person.
And I don't need a survey to tell Turbine that it's attitudes and "opinions" like these that make their game less fun to play and enjoyable to be in.

There's actually two different logics mixed into this... the "free" thing and the "new" one.
As a new but not free player I can see how the opinions of both new and old players would be relevant. Those that have been here for years will see the game a certain way, they will want different things and have different opinions than those of us who only joined a few months ago. As newer players, we are not so far into the loot grind that we are pulling our hair out, so it is understandable that a vet's opinions may be that "we need more content." I don't just mean quests. Races, classes, PrE's, whatever.
But free players should be looking at different priorities. If they want more content then they can buy it or go VIP.
What I'm saying (in my own roundabout way) is that I agree in part with the above quoted. Both new and old players, free and VIP, should be included in the survey for a proper range of perspectives.

Many of the online surveys and in-person focus groups provide a wide-range of feedback that is used in future planning. It's unlikely that you'd see results from a single question you answered on a survey.
I've thought about doing a monthly article on what we've learned from research, but that would take away from my research time. Mmmm. Brains...

Since I've never gotten a survey(as much as I would really like to get one!) I would really appreciate the interesting read about my favorite game.
