It says that the Titan Shield is incapable of deflecting energy so fire, lightning, etc should be avoided.

Whoever would wear something like that? I wouldn't use that robe even if they gave it out free in the harbor.
A 15% chance of spell failure means that wizards cannot really wear it. Spell Resistance 20 is only a little better than the SR 17 you can get on the Aberrant Robe from COK. And resist 10 for lightning cold and fire? What's the point of that? Once you are high-enough level to beat the titan, you will be casting resist 30 spells, or you won't even bother.
Resist 10 isn't even enough to get through Taming the Flames, a level 6 quest!!
What is the deal with this NullCltoh Gown from the Titan?

Who said Wizards are the only one to wear robes? I seen many a rogue and fighter in robes. And they can't always count on others to keep them buffed all the time. Why not a little backup plan?

If you see a fighter in robes, it is deathblock for killing beholders.
And yes, a rogue might have enough dexerity to wear a robe fulltime... but they also have Evasion meaning that the majority of fire and electric attacks just never even hit them (but if they DO hit, it is for full damage and resist 10 won't help)

A "little backup plan" is not what I'd consider worthy of "Titan Loot". For a backup plan, I can have a few potions of Protection from Fire.
dont know if you know about these two from the marilith raid, but I saw them and cant fidn the thread.
They are :
Greenblade : kukri, +5, force burst (1d6 force per hit, and 1d10 for crit of *2, 2d10 for *3 crit, 3d10 for *4 crit), and arcane <something> (10% chance that ALL your arcane spell with crit for *2 damage)
Storm : heavy crossbow, +5, keen, thundering, shocking burst

You'd be surprised to find there are dex fighters who fight in robes all the time. And a week backup plan is better than no plan at all, consider the fire protect as a fall back for when the fire protect comes down from max damage absorbed. I am not arguing that the robe is not sub par for Titan loot, but it does have some use albeit limited.
