Hi Lynnabel,
Hopefully an easy fix for you, there appears to be no on-hover tooltip for 'Scroll of Gust of Wind'. A minor inconvenience but it would be nice to see my Chance to Activate as I level up, I use these a lot for cloud dispersal.

Not sure if this has been mentioned (very minor and easy workaround, but still bothers me).
When I initially get Trap the Soul on the my Warlock, I like to put the 30HD version on my tool bar, but here is what happens.
1. I drag Trap the Soul spell to a Tool bar that I won't ever use.
2. Get out of mouse-look mode and click on trap the soul on that toolbar button.
3. The pop-dialog appears asking me which of the three to cast.
4. I drag the 30HD to the toolbar button I'll actually use.
5. Then when I let go of the mouse button, I'm not in mouse-look mode anymore, and my "toggle Mouse-look" key doesn't do anything, but the choose which spell dialog is still open.
6. I can't get back into mouse-look or out of mouse-look at this point until I hit the ESC key to close that dialog.
everything is fine after that, but the only way to close that dialog at that point was to hit ESC... could get back to non-mouse look to click on the X.

When you acquire Von 5 raid the sound level is extremely loud. Can that be fixed?

1) It would be nice if /resloc worked when bound to ship.
2) This is a pet peeve of a guildie of mine, he hates quests that don't offer guild favor as an end reward. Now I'm talking quests that are neither being run overlevel nor with a ransack penalty, which I thought were the things that affected guild favor. Wiki seems to be very different than I remember the rules, though it says it is out of date. If you state what the rules are, and this is within your bailiwick, we can assemble a quest list.

Second, does Burst of Glacial Wrath work on spiders now or not? I've heard that it SHOULD work on them since the mindless fix, but I've also heard reports that it still isn't working on spiders?

I realize the fixing the AI ship has sailed but could some adjustment be made so they go back to following and standing a few metres behind the summoner instead of standing right on top of you, or even worse, gazing adoringly into your eyes, back to the fight, stuffing up targeting?
And (I'm sure this has been said before)...stop hirelings that have been told to Stand Their Ground from turning into paperweights. Just because they have to stand still is no reason they can't, for example, heal or raise.
Or at least allow you to click the hirelings toolbar buttons for non-melee actions (which also become disabled when told to stand still for some bizarre reason).

Hi Lynnabel, when you have a minute can you look into the Divine Crusader's aura of purification? Its currently bugged to only affect one target at a time when it should be affecting everything within range. All passives linked to it such as No remorse and No regret are only triggering on the single mob the aura has currently selected.

Also, the deconstruction device is still horked. Can't figure out exact recreation steps, but if you go run a couple quests, gather the loot, then go to the device to decon stuff if you disjunct the device clears and you can put something else in (at least the times I've done it). However, if you dissolve the item, most of the time it doesn't clear, leaving the dissolver in the window. If you want to continue dissolving this is OK, but if you want to disjunt you have to hit the clear button or close and reopen the device. But sometimes instead of properly clearing or improperly leaving the dissolver in the window, it will appear to clear. No dissolver in the window, it looks clear and ready to go, but it won't accept any items. The device has to be closed and reopened to continue using it. Very frustrating.

The tool tip that you hotbar for Lightning Bolt shows a passive not active shape. It should be square (Active) shaped not an octagon (Passive). From Arcanotechnician core 4 (Artie tree).

I don't know if this exactly qualifies as a bug but if not I'm not sure what is an appropriate label. This appears to me to be a missing or perhaps mislabeled art file. I'm going to use images to demonstrate this issue as I can think of no way to verbally explain it with enough detail.

What you see in the top image is exactly what it should be, a randomly generated outfit (in this case +3 Insulated 10 Outfit of Fire Resistance 3) and appropriately the outfit's appearance on the character, it's image in the examination orb, and its icon all match. So far so good.
However, in the lower image another randomly generated outfit (+3 Damping 10 Outfit of Solar Guard 1) has an incorrect appearance on the character but a matching icon and examination orb image. There are a few named outfits in the game with the appearance of the icon and examination orb so I'm fairly sure the art must exist but obviously something has gone wrong.
Every single random generated outfit with this blue icon has the wrong appearance when equipped on the player character. Specifically every single BLUE ICON outfit has this particular orange and cream with claws or fangs appearance.
Please fix. This has peeved me for ages.

You are correct. However, since the armor in the pic doesn't change to the different style when he changes which armor is equipped, it's acting similarly to cosmetic armor. I was wondering if perhaps there was some DDO bug were having cosmetic equipped even though it's disabled prevents the regular armor from changing appearances when new armor is equipped. Just trying to see if eliminating some variables helped the issue.

I wanted to just reply and say I was sure. I was sure that it had nothing to do with my cleric having a cosmetic but I wanted to double-check just in case because this is DDO and mushrooms interfere with doors. So I logged on to my haggle-bard searched the Eveningstar pawn, the AH, the Kundarak pawn and finally the marketplace pawn before I could grab another blue icon outfit to try out.
So I tried it on... as you can see its definitely equipped because the examination window shows her artificier enhancements affecting the properties of the outfit. She has no cosmetics equipped or toggled and yet... and yet the appearance of the outfit does NOT match the appearance of the inventory icon, the examination orb image, or the image in the examination window.
The outfit in the icons does exist, a couple named items use the art file associated with this icon such as the Garments of Equilibrium. I cannot be the only person to have noticed this bug.
I invite ALL and sundry to try on these random generated blue icon outfits for yourselves.

If you click "Deposit" on your Shared Plat Vault, you cannot then see how much platinum you have in Inventory (unless you already had Inventory open). And you cannot open Inventory once the Deposit window is on-screen.
So, you have to close the Deposit window, then open Inventory, and then re-open the Deposit window... ;(

My next thought was maybe it had something to do with character gender, so I logged in and tried it myself with a male drow. Nope, same issue you're having. Got the exact same outfit art you have. I guess they just ran out of artistic talent and couldn't draw one more outfit...
or it's just bugged.

I think that's just targeting in general, I'll frequently be firing a repeater on an Artificer, tab to a new target and the next round of shots will hit my previous target.
Agreed, Hadn't played my mechanic for a while and coming back to it targeting has been borked; sometimes fires at previous target, sometimes in the air.

Have run through Necro 2 a couple of times recently. Even on Normal difficulty (I can hear the audible gasp from the elitests from here) the Mummies at the end of the flagging quests no longer appear to be vulnerable to fire. Nor are they (at least from viewing the examine window) under the effects of elemental protection spells.

So, I know its not only the swashbuckler tree which has issues, ie, the sonic damage on it not applying, or when hit, or the kd when hit, etc.
Please fix the enhancement tree's which are broken so they actually do what they say/work. It's not too much to ask that the things in the game actually work is it?

Better still would be to just remove Gold, Silver and Copper from the game and just use Platinum.

fix the person who initially coded in the hirelings, there's something very wrong with them. Too much weed perhaps.
Seriously though, really irritating when the cleric hireling is running to chase a mob, and ignoring your commands to heal you via clicky. Give hirelings a much faster movement speed, based off their level, so its more appropriate. Probably solve a lot of issues with cleric hirelings or other healing types that are too busy chasing something, to pay attention and heal the person who bought the contract. Say 2% increase per level. Capping it out at lvl 20. AT least this way players won't outdistance em in dungeons and have to continually spam call them to the player, then wait for the 4-6 second global cooldown on their actual skills.

Cauldron of flame does not say you have to have a staff equipped (and does not work without one). The capstone does say a staff is required but not the level 18 core.

Great thread - go to have somewhere where we know a dev is listening to our concerns.
How about fixing Adrenaline Cleaves to proc on every mob hit, as it should do?
This is my biggest gripe in terms of bug fixes. :(
It's ridiculous that it processes fine when I have a bow and IPS in play, but not my cleaves. A real pain when engaging a boss with a bunch of mobs around and adrenaline procs on the first mob rather than the boss - so cleave becomes useless there.
Overwhelming Force knock-down effect should also proc on everything hit by the adrenaline-fuelled cleave.
If I recall correctly, this was highlighted as a bug in the same thread that the fix to dual damage boost was. That was fixed a while ago now, but nothing on this yet.
A fix to this would help make FOTW more than a ranged go-to/melee flavour destiny, and add a bit more diversity to the game, especially in Reaper.

But as typical in the computer industry - if you can do that, can you do this too?
Few tweaks I'd like to see*
Social panel - Guild Tab
- increase the width of the first 2 columns and decrease the 3rd - the first 2 don't scale when you make the screen wider. I'd like to be able to see all 4 icons for a toon, and their complete level splits, and I think guild rank has room to spare unless I make the window as small as possible. If you have to choose I'd say level split is more important than icons, but I like icons too.
Adventure Compendium
- It doesn't sort until I clear the search window, kinda meh but would be nice.
- Would it be at all possible to search for a number and have it match the level? I just want to see all level 7 quests and/or all Epic if I put that in. I know I can sort and scroll, but again, would be nice.
Thanks again for everything y'all have done, you're making it fun to play again.
* I know ui changes are a can of worms, if you open it, there will be a ton of different requests and you will hear all the complaints about how wrong it is even if it is perfect for others (you won't hear that side as often) - I mean its the same user experience at 800x600 as it is on dual 4k monitors - right? All the windows fit just perfectly :P

Not sure how feasible this is, but has anyone else noticed how incredibly small the bank space is for individual character banking? Maybe that could be made a little bigger. Even if you do house k quests or buy bank slots you're still pretty limited on how much you can store which might be character bound items, oh and there are a bunch of things which are bound to char only(because for some reason bound to char or account seems like some sensible thing to some moron.)

As far as I can tell, the heroic slaver's 5 piece set Sorcery is supposed to give +2 Artifact bonus to Spell DCS but it is only giving me +1. When I take off an item from the set and hover over a spell on my hotbar the DC goes down by 1 and vice versa. So either the spell DC in the hotbar isn't adding it correctly or the set bonus is only giving +1 instead of +2.
When I get home tonight I'll compile all my gear and list out what my DC should be but that's what I've observed.
Edit: Hold up I need to double check this when I get home, as I realize that the 3-piece set gives +1 artifact, so I need to remove several pieces and see if it goes up by 2 or not.

The EE Stormhorn items. I don't understand how ML 28 EE items are 2[1dX] or 1! Master's Longsword for example is a +1 Enchantment... but ML 28. That just doesn't make sense.
Everytime I pull something aside from the Giant's Maul I am extremely disappointed as this is some of the highest level quests named loot (aside from LE).

Could you pretty please talk to whomever is in charge of the UI color bars for different text colors and ask them to add a bar for guild officers color change; right now it is basic white which looks just like general chat and can get lost in the mix especially for those of us who have gen chat open to help people new to game :)

I haven't read thru the 53 pages (!!!) to see if this has been mentioned already, but the Tier 5 Mechanic enhancement Sniper, has an error in the tooltip of it's buff icon, it says "Your weapon gains two additional sneak attack dice" - the enhancement says you get 1 SA dice for repeaters, and 3 SA dice for non-repeaters, but no combination gives two that I know of.
Lynnabel, if you're still reading this thread (and I'm impressed if you are at 53 pages and counting!) then, perhaps this is a quick fix ?

Several things:
- a trader for Epic Gianthold relics (the "Restored X Relic" ones). We have a heroic trader but not an epic trader.
- any chance the Race Restriction on iconic cosmetic armors can be removed? They are BtC, so what is the problem here?
- "Your are not facing" when casting spells, when I am, and have been, for several seconds. Perhaps just remove the requirement, or require that I was facing my current target, and had them targeted, in the last 3 seconds?
- Any chance of more teleport locations (eg. Hall of Heroes, 3BC, U36 and somewhere in Faerun -- I get the latter may be hard, but how many of the log-out/log-in store upgrades do you actually sell?)

The official reasoning I've seen for this is that the items are designed for a specific size character and it might "look funny" on another size. Which is ridiculous because at least some of the looks (the PDK shield, for instance) are available on other items. And the SK & sun elf stuff would look pretty much the same on each other, humans, elves, and drow, and BF should look just fine on WF.

I'd prefer to look funny in my cosmetic armor than not wear it.

That's probably fair: a genuine spell fizzle. But when it does NOT port, was always in front of you ... that is just apalling.
I guess both would be solved by "you are not facing" no costing SP or starting timers.

I just RTR from helf to dwarf and didn't noticed that before so I don't know if it's race specific.

I just RTR from helf to dwarf and didn't noticed that before so I don't know if it's race specific.
Did you re-hotkey it? most common problem with this is keying it at 1st rank then upgrading but not changing hotkey.

Everyone that has ever played a caster, knows that when you cast a spell and your target just suddenly moved to the side from being in front of you, or swung around behind you. Your spell fizzles and nothing happens because the target for it has moved from the spells direct pathing. What i'd like to see is the spell being cast, is actually cast, even if it doesn't hit anything. That should not stop it from being cast, its just the target for it has moved. So like most other spells, when there is no target. Have the spell traverse its intended path instead of *Nothing*. I'd rather have wasted 2 seconds to cast a spell, and at least seen it go off, possibly striking something else. Than have it not do anything at all. Even when you succeed all your concentration checks. Ahem, tactical detonation, lightning sphere. If the target for its gone, the spell doesn't cast, but it'll still take ur spell points and go through the casting motions.
Another thing, when concentration checks fail, the motions for the spell casting continue. Whats the point there. Spell fizzled, we know it, monsters know it. Gotta finish the dance ? Can u cut that dance short if the concentration check fails? I'd rather not waste precious time trying to run at half speed, when i could be running at full speed waiting on global cooldown.

Not sure if this is within reach or has been mentioned before but could we get an update on the vendors in the Marketplace, House K and House D?
The ones in the houses are always empty, no one bothers to go out there anymore to sell their items.
They either deconstruct for material of sell at the bartender... if not put on the AH.
I'd like to see one vendor for weapons, one for armor, one for jewelry and one for clothing.
Prev at the spot under the bridge of Marketplace.

Rune arm charging/firing. The shots fire lower than the targetting circle. Have to constantly aim above the heads of targets everytime, just to get the fired bolts to hit them. Otherwise they go into the ground before reaching.

The newest quest pack, the exp is complete ****. Can you triple the base exp for the quest to bring it more in line with the heroic difficultys. Fighting 2k + mobs, in swarms constantly, for a 15k reward at the end. Hardly seems worth the half hr or so for any moderately geared player to even bother with. Complete waste of time. I can get more exp from one of the 10 minute challenges in eveningstar, than i can from running this quest. The amount of time, i can make 3x the amount of exp, with lesser hassle compared. And given the price of ddo store pts we paid for it, one would think it'd be worth it.

In the swampy area near The Lost Thread I pulled a named forest hag encounter (her name began with a V, sorry I didn't think to write it down at the time). Her screen name just showed as a red-named 'Forest Hag' instead of her actual name, though.
I was off by a hair, the named forest hag in the King's Forest encounter begins with a Y, Yarabaga.

I would like a slight increase in the basic mushroom drops in chests in epic Toee. I ran through it yesterday, and every little chest i came across in the first level (epic normal, 5 chests) only dropped 1 mushroom, the brown ones needed for the first upgrade. Now, since you need the same absurd amount for upgrades on epic as you do heroic, that would mean i need to run the quest. . .200/5 . . .40 times. . .I am not running the quest 40 times for a tier 1 upgrade. The area is super massive, there are loads of spawns, and it's just not worth the time and effort currently.
I don't mean a huge increase, maybe dropping two or three instead of just one would be nice.
This also doesn't account for the fact that 90% of the gear dropping seems to only be geared to casters and that the straight up dmg weps seem to be more of a rare drop. I came across seven or eight weps which were great if you wanted to upgrade for a caster, though i think a caster using a b sword or kopesh would be a bit odd. . .who knows. I only came across one weapon which was good for a straight up melee. Normal drops 1, hard 2-3 elite drops, Ummmmm, 3-4 if memory serves. It's been a while since I've run them.

can you fix cyclonic blast? i only notice on my new monk but i still take damage even on a made save.
as far as i can tell - if i make the save i dont fall down and take damage - if i fail i fall down and take damage
it is a reflex save, so i shouldnt be taking damage on a made save

Can that be changed to medium or heavy armor, which makes 100% more sense than a fighter running around in his skivvies or leather.

That was deliberate :)
Kensai allows a fighter to designate their focus weapon as a centering monk weapon. Furthermore, Kensai synergizes well with the Bard tree Swashbuckler. Monks wear robes/clothing and swashbucklers wear light armor :)

Jewels and treasure elixirs do not help with named items.
They only boost your chance of random stuff... and maybe random chance tomes... maybe...
Jewels of Fortune and other loot boosts increase the level of a chest, which determines what level of random treasure will generate inside.
"Named" treasure is any treasure that has a special, bonus chance to appear in a specific treasure chest. It doesn't care about the chest or quest level, only that you're opening the right chest.
Jewels of Fortune and other loot boosts do not affect named treasure or the chance to get an item with "extra lucky affix", Masterful Craftsmanship, or an Augment Slot
Jewels of Fortune do not affect the drop rate of named items.
(They do affect which tables you can get with regard to tomes and other items that have a chance at dropping in any chest, as the overall treasure table level goes up. But for named quest items that drop in specific chests, Jewels of Fortune do not affect the drop rate in any way.)
1) +x Loot Level raises the level of the chest, yes.
2) Treasure Hunter's bonus gives bonuses to your rolls on random loot. When generating a piece of random loot the power level of each effect (Prefix, Suffix, and Extra) are rolled on (each have a range they can reach based on the Min level). Basically, it increases your chances of finding items with high power effects at the level of the chest. It does NOT increase your chance of obtaining an "Extra" effect.
DDO Bonus Days bring you a new bonus event: Treasure Hunter's Weekend! Now through March 13th!
What it does: Treasure dice rolls are increased by 10, making it more likely that you will get maximum effects on loot.
FAQ:
- Yes, this stacks with the Treasure Hunter's Elixirs.
- No, this doesn't increase your chance to get named loot.
- This is a separate bonus from traditional Loot Boosts, which raise the level of the chest. This raises the chance to get the good stuff for the level of the chest you are opening.

No. In general, named loot has its own %-based chance to appear. If it appears, there's another %-based chance for it to be Mythic (unsurprisingly, the % for Mythic is pretty low.)

I'll certainly have to give it a try. Though, my last incarnation I noted that the on hit sonic dmg wasn't applying with the swashbuckler.

I think you are reading it wrong. If you fail the reflex save, you fall down and take FULL damage.
It then takes a second dice roll with Strength or Dexterity check to see if you're knocked prone.
If you made the reflex save, you still take HALF damage regardless but don't fall down.

in bold - that is just like a fireball spell for the damage
i just get frustrated by this spell sometimes.
i dont if i die because i roll a 1 or i didnt put effort into saves, but when you make a save on an evasion toon its frustrating

Small QoL fix:
Could you update 'martial arts' from the Kensai tree to possibly include short swords and long swords since it's possible to make those weapons centering (Ninja Spy, Whirling Steel Strike)?
It sucks losing the ability to use your focus attacks if you switch between kama's and short swords.

The Fatal Harrier enhancement from Druid - Nature's Warrior tree is bugged, the stacking effect does not work according to the description.
The first rank allows you to stack it up to 5 times = +25% atk speed. Basically rank 2 and rank 3 of this enhancement are useless.

The Shiradi T1 - Stay Frosty ability seems to not be working at all. I tested this on countless trash mobs and bosses and it doesn't show anything.
I can see the cold damage proccing but there is no indication of slow and nothing when I examine the targeted enemy.

Barbarian - Ravager tree - Dismember: states no durations on the debuffs, according to my tests it's 5 seconds for each debuff I also updated the wiki.
Perhaps we can get an updated description?
Mantle of the Icy Soul - lvl 9 Druid spell: this also seems to affect bosses which is fine with me and appears as a Debuff on bosses when you examine them. The only issue is that it states "a -5% penalty to attack speed" both when applied on bosses and on trash mobs under the Examine section, whereas the spell Description states: "a -10% penalty to attack speed"

also if i unequip rock boots and i get freedom of movement spell, the moment i reequip them i lose the freedom of movement effect... if i unequop them again i gain back the freedom of movement effect.

As far as I've been able to tell, this is just a display issue. You actually have the FoM (when it's cast), it's just not showing. But it should still be preventing you from being held and such. There's a similar effect in Grandmaster of Flowers that has the same effect.

While i certainly consent to your point on this, I do have to iterate that Kensai were heavy or medium armor wearers. They didn't go out to battle like archers in leather armors, or ninja's in cloth. Thus is makes little sense so far as being in the kensai tree itself. If you guys developed an actual ninja tree it might make a little more sense.
I might recommend a little study into the cultures of the oriental for this base matter, it's even covered in the old d&d books. . .speaking of which, yeah, I know the coding is old or what not, but there is a great deal which should be addressed so far as the game goes as far as d&d is concerned.

There is a long list, which I would hope you guys are trying to get to.
And I am certain that rewriting code is a long and pain staking process, I am well aware of it from rewriting nwn code back in the day and correcting many issues and adding new features. But still, things really need to be reworked from the ground up.
Adding more to reincarnation and fixing the issue with peoples stuff vanishing(though I am pretty certain this issue stems from people trying to do multiple with out logging out for a moment or two, completely).
Ie, 36 stat point build being max for say 6+ reincarnations. There should be a progressive increase till at least 40.
Level limits should be increased. (though with your current system diverting from traditional d&d this may be a problem)
Had the class progression continued through till 30 as per standard d&d there would be less issues, and then 30-40 add in the epic trees, and then dietetic trees from 40-60, then it would have went more smoothly with more options to end game quests. Of course, this is still slightly limiting.
The most ideal option would be to go with a d&d system which would work with an end game at level 99 or 100, with reincarnations continuously adding to stats /skills/ hp/ mrr/prr / or hp with increasing difficulty. If you need some sort of working example I might suggest the mmo mabinogi. It's pretty well tailored to such things with out the idea of power creep as I understand it.
On another note, there are five dots per heroic level, there should be five points in enhancements per level or the fifth point should be removed since you don't honestly advance or learn anything with that last bit. It's an annoying trifle which just seems aggravating. Yes there is the whole "power creep" argument, but upon some testing a multi classed char using more than three or four trees begins to have some errors. Ie, some enchantments stop working or stacking. This either needs to be fixed or there need to be more points to allocate into different sections to compensate.
Granted a great deal of people seem to want to go pure builds, but not everyone does. This is mainly in part because 99% of the quests about in heroic need a rogueish person to gain maximum xp for a quest or to even survive. This is an oversight which honestly needs to be fixed. Not every quest out there needs a multitude of traps in it, nor does it make sense for them to have them.
Straight up melee or ranged chars or caster chars should be required to have to know how to deal with traps just to deal with quests. This should not be a standard.
Obviously you want people to party up, but there is an issue there. Quests change with parties, they grow in difficulty to an absurd level. Especially on first life characters. After a few reincarnations its not so much of an issue, but if you are trying to bring in new people to play then the playing field is a bit inhospitable.
I think you guys should try to take in a more longer term vision for the game. There are after all constant progressions in graphics and more. Of course, the whole system needs to be updated to remove the lag issues which I am sure everyone is experiencing lately. It's not really a game issue, but a coding issue on that end. It might take two or three months, but I am fairly certain that all of the coding could be looked through and cleaned up/fixed, and then things would run more smoothly. It's just like a core overhaul. ..a major update to be sure, but it would be something everyone would be grateful for.
I honestly hope you guys hold more true when adding in ravenloft, and add in vistani as a race which is should be and not some random knife thrower tree which is an insult to say the least to the setting.
Vistani were mystics, fortunetellers, and more. Not just some carny knife throwers.
They were the only race which could travel the mists with out much issue.
If you are going to reduce them to some pitiful knife throwers then it would be the most insulting thing ever imaginable for that setting.
On an ending note, if you guys need help you have a whole community to ask, ask us. . .if there are things that have you stumped, ask us. . .I am more than certain that I am not the only coder about willing to help.

Cosmetics of weapons that you lose at the end of the quest don't work.
Could you please change things so they do work (and you don't lose the cosmetics at the end of the quest)?
Also, the light trail from the Essence of the Silver Flame, and similar from the Sun Flask look really cool. Could you add the light trails to the store as cosmetics that add to any weapon? I'd buy several.

it could be modified to 5 dots and 4 action points + 1 racial point
if it is hard to implement that way, it could be 20 racial points for every character at start...
it would help making each race more unique, as usually people rarely put the action points into the racial trees and prefer to spend them into class trees.

It's not worth tracking down every rare monster if you lose them when you TR, but if they were account-based that might make it worthwhile.

The Fifth dot is the indicator for the level, which is nice to have particularly if you are banking the level, so yes you do advance and learn stuff with it, please leave it alone.

plz implement a safeguard check that makes sure that damage over time effects have been properly removed on the client side after their intended duration has expired.
just ran proof is in the poison for favor and some minor xp to cap out before taking level 7 while having some minor packets loss in the 0.0 to 0.3% range. not sure if from an acid raid by caster, one of the traps or one of the pools, it doesnt rly matter which one anyways, but i got one of those persisting dot effects. so ran 2/3s of the quest with 35-45 acid damge ticking in every 4 or so seconds.
on a multilife toon running elite @ level zerg with full ship resists this barely tickles and all but made me chug some dozen or so csw pots more.
however to new players **** like this happening is quest breaking. its also not fun on challenging reaper runs or with more severe spells such as cloudkill in higher level content.

now, if at that point of the cease command you have a minor connection hitch or packet loss, you get screwed. cause the server thinks its gone, while in truth client side it is not.
so plz, add:
5) server: a few seconds after a cease DOT effect has been sent to client, ASK the client, DID you indeed terminate that DOT
6) if not, resend the cease the DOT order.
repeat this step a second time for good measure.

assassin faster sneaking tops at 50%, not 75% as claimed.
PLEASE fix this--the prestige & stealrh have taken a hit lately and adjusting the code will be a big bone to toss to us.

plz implement a safeguard check that makes sure that damage over time effects have been properly removed on the client side after their intended duration has expired.
just ran proof is in the poison for favor and some minor xp to cap out before taking level 7 while having some minor packets loss in the 0.0 to 0.3% range. not sure if from an acid raid by caster, one of the traps or one of the pools, it doesnt rly matter which one anyways, but i got one of those persisting dot effects. so ran 2/3s of the quest with 35-45 acid damge ticking in every 4 or so seconds.
on a multilife toon running elite @ level zerg with full ship resists this barely tickles and all but made me chug some dozen or so csw pots more.
however to new players **** like this happening is quest breaking. its also not fun on challenging reaper runs or with more severe spells such as cloudkill in higher level content.

On another note, there are five dots per heroic level, there should be five points in enhancements per level or the fifth point should be removed since you don't honestly advance or learn anything with that last bit.
The Fifth dot is the indicator for the level, which is nice to have particularly if you are banking the level, so yes you do advance and learn stuff with it, please leave it alone.
Yes, this exactly. 4 ranks that give one AP, and then 1 rank that gives a level. While I'm all in favor of more AP (though I'm of the opinion that it should be in the form of the cores being autogranted based on AP spent in the tree, with all class trees giving the first core at L1; and also that tiers should be gated by AP spent on all trees within the class, which would greatly reduce the amount of "I need to buy two ranks of something I don't want and won't particularly use just to get to the next tier") this isn't a very good argument for it.

...how do volume triggers create persistent DoTs? Because I've had this happen as well (in my case, Lava that stuck with my character through shrining, finishing the quest, and /death). But I just don't see how sound corresponds to effects not going away.
And on a related note, Howler quills persist *long* after the timer finishes, like a good 30 seconds or a minute, if not longer... but it does eventually end. Can this be adjusted so that the DoT matches the timer (preferable) or the timer matches the DoT (less good, but at least it would give you some semblance of when you'll be able to open a door...)

ok so u been saying it's more complicated then my simple explanation attempt and also pointing out I have no clue how the dot is actually applied.
so then i went and googled and so I guess you are saying the effect is applied with a volume trigger. going by that, a volume trigger sets up an area in the world that, when say the player runs into it, triggers something, in our case the dot. and maybe it should untrigger it once the player leaves the area? and maybe when I lag around when doing that the server is like lalala you still be in trigger land even if Im long dead and out of the quest. wait, dont say it, again it's more complicated. fine. gist of my question still remains, any chance of fix? :D

Cosmetics of weapons that you lose at the end of the quest don't work.
Could you please change things so they do work (and you don't lose the cosmetics at the end of the quest)? I've had this one bite me in the rear once. For me it was Tesyus. Customer service was at least kind enough to kick me a replacement mirror.
Cosmetic gear (created with mirrors at least) should be free of racial and level restriction, and definitely shouldn't have Drop On Exit flags attached.

look in to dq 1 and 2 tried to rerun after completed both but wouldn't let me run says im not on the right part so I used a raid timer and it says I cant because first part is actually not part of the raid so then why cant I run first part over then use a timer to getnto part 2 we use to be able to use a timer and reset and rerun both parts

not sure if this is a bug, or its simply not implemented yet: some inherent bonuses do not show up in the special feats list.
this is true for:
+1 tome of destiny (feywild)
+1 tome of universal AP (sharn)
( the +1/+2 racial AP (ravenloft/upgrades) is displayed though.)
i would love to see those in my special feats.
in the DDO store tomes of fate are not displayed according to if you possess the inherent fate points. but tomes of racial/universal AP are still displayed for a character, who already possesses those inherent feats
also a suggestion: expansion packs are not shown in myaccount.ssg, i guess its not the things you do, still i'd like to see a complete list there.

Why is there no visual on the Exalted Angel Mantle? Please add one a green pulse would be a huge quality of life fix so I can tell how close I need to be to people for the aura to heal them.

I'd like to see devs quit "wasting time" on these periodic "games" and concentrate solely for 1 or 2 months in fixing all the stuff that's broke. :rolleyes: I confess it's MY opinion. A change in emphasis to keeping the game in better repair is what I'd like instead of old events, new changes to events and assorted nonsense. All I see is more "****" the inventory systems must track, that takes up pack/bank space, and adds to the inventory-related lag. How about having a "collectables" trade in... get the stuff outa the DB tracking and restore some internal performance? Give us more game control so hires and folks behind don't mess up soft targeting. A simple switch would do it. :p

That's wai. When we brought it up last year the devs said the change was because people had trouble figuring out where their keys were, and the solution to them only stacking to 10 and taking up so much room, was to use them.
I don't think it's necessary to stop making content and only work on bugs, since they seem to be doing that all the time. The problem to me is that it takes weeks for the bugfixes to actually make it to the game. The game is taken down every Wed. (usually), why aren't all the bugfixes they've done that week put in at that point? The last update had tons of little bugs and it was like...3 weeks before we saw anything, despite the devs learning new ones practically every day on discord. "Fixed internally" or "Didn't make this build" are really unacceptable.
