I love the theme of Three Barrel cove. Unfortunately it is in a level range that is fat with quest so I do not spend much time out there unless I have guild mate at the same level in the TR process. Then we go out and do them all because they are pretty good. The wilderness area is one of my favorite.

I love the pack in general. It is such a beautiful wilderness area. Prove Your Worth is probably my favorite quest in the pack. I can still remember how long it took us to finish the first time. My buddy and I both had a rough time getting up the ladders. Now we are pros and try to race each other to the end. Good times.
Thanks for showing interest in such a wonderful pack!
Scoundrel's Run.
I just think it's a shame it's such a pain to get to since the remodel. I used to run it often, now I don't think I've run it in literally years.
I also liked it better when it had a time-limit... but that's just me.![]()
I really enjoy running through Three Barrel Cove. I do like all of the quests out there, but I would have to say that Scondrel's Run and the Old Grey Garl quests are more of my favorites out there. I do sometimes have issues with the map in Scondrel's run but overall I think it has a nice mix of things (strong mobs, small puzzles, a vicious trap if you aren't careful, etc.). The Old Grey Garl line I find interesting and enjoy running through it.
My leas favorite quest out there would probably be Prove Your Worth. The ladder challenge can be quite that...a challenge...

Fire Caves, Garl's Tomb and Scoundrel's Run.
I do wish there was a teleport option, the long runs out in the area keep most players I know from using the area during levelling.
EDIT: Also, the level range of the area should support streaking.

DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.
I just posted on this last week I believe. Yeah, I love this area and all of the quests equally excepting that puzzle one with the weird jumps. Just not into it and I only run it if my guild runs it. Interestingly enough, I have a post-it at home near my computer with a funny looking diagram from the puzzle room. I wonder if I can even follow it!
The quests do tend to sit at an odd level. I wonder if Turbine would consider bumping it to 10-12. That would seem to be a fun time to do those quests.
Scoundrels Run and Prove your Worth.
Legend of Two Toed Tobias is not only my favourite quest in the Cove But regularly finds itself in top 5 lists for the entire game.
The ONLY Quests I don't like in the Cove are Guard Duty {Awful Awful Quest} and Trog's Get/Grey Garl {Overscaled}.
As for the streak issue:
Put Guard Duty in Korthos {on the way to Stormreach} as a Lvl 2 Quest!
Drop Scoundrel's Run {no changes necessary} and Old Grey Garl {Take the CRs down in here} to Lvl 6 instead of 7.
Now all Cove Quests are 5-6 and Slayer finishes at 8 {Sorted!}.
And Guard Duty fits in far better as a getting to Stormreach Quest at Lvl 2 than Out in 3 Barrel at Lvl 5.
These Quests are NOT Lvl 10-12 Quests - It's bad enough that you keep making Epic Quests in FR that feel like they should be Lvl 6-9, Fighting Epic Rats & Dogs in Carnival, Sentinels and Fens has had people complaining for Years.
I wouldn't complain if we were to get a "Return to 3 Barrel Cove" Higher Lvl quest chain BUT please please please DON'T ruin the ones we've got!
This is a very unique quest, and we have rarely seen the like since.
Quest design devs, you should run this, along with Scoundrel's Run, Tomb of the Shadow Knight, Tomb of the Forbidden, and Chamber of Raiyum. Ever since you guys introduced Spell Wards, I've thought that you weren't sadistic enough for this job....
Black-nose quint's quest is the best. I especially like how it ends.
Next in line, I'm kind of ashamed to say are the wilderness rares.
If I have to pick an actual quest, I think I'll go with Garl's Tomb: Trog's Get.
The quest that WOULD be the most fun but ISN'T is Prove Your Worth. A great quest that's interesting and fun... other than that @#%$%@ LADDER! DDO controls are great for most game play, but not jumping off a ladder, spinning 180 degrees in midair and catching another.
Two other low points are Scoundrel's run is kind of boring and Guard Duty feels like a chore rather than fun.
I really like 3BC. It's dripping w/great flavor. Most lives I skip Guard Duty (too boring and poor loot/xp) and Prove Your Worth but run the rest. It is the only wilderness area that I sometimes linger in for slayer counts.

I used to avoid 3bc like the plague, but i dont know why now. On my current TR life i decided to run all the quests out there just to do it, and i absolutely loved them. The environment (wilderness and insides of quests) and the quest designs (lots of variety) and the game play (very fun) were all very nice.
Is this question a prelude to an epic version of 3bc? Pretty please?![]()
Honestly I don't know, I don't think I've ever gotten around to running all of them. They're out of the way and I almost always end up leveling past them before I remember that they are out there.

Wow a lot of these are neck-in-neck, but I gave a slight edge to Scoundrel's Run. It has a few puzzles, traps, decent mobs, and a map that is impossible to read.
I think Prove Your Worth is great, but the conundrum is too difficult to do unless I use the wiki.I am not a big puzzle lover, so the simple ones are enough for me.
Likewise I have never been able to complete the puzzle in Ghost of a Chance, so I just don't even bother trying anymore. I just get the key and miss the bonus xp.
I like the fire caves and grey garl and two toed tobias too.
Guard duty is too simple. It needs some spice. Maybe you could add in a way to disembark the pirate ship, blow it up, and then get back to your ship or something.
Is this really serious?
Three barrel cove you're concerned with!?
ugh
Ghost of a Chance for me, due to the puzzle. Even though I can do that puzzle in my sleep, I enjoy those kinds of puzzles.
Just out of curiosity, what are they called? Been wanting to find an online version of those puzzles to play around with for ages and just can't come up with a decent description.
The very next post answered why. XP is so plentiful at those levels, you're level 10 without blinking. 3BC are remote, generally unpopular, and have earn favor for an unexciting faction (free agents).
Personally I never really paid the area much attention until they added all the excellent named items. Since then I've been in love w/it and try to run it every life.
