Default Dreadbot Build Arti 12/Pali 4/Rog 4 - full time self heal blitzer

    Legendary DreadBot Build

I had a lot of fun with this build, over several eTR's. I thought I would post it here as of all the builds I've played recently this one ended up being a lot of fun. Great trapper, evasion, and lots of fast action damage blitzing....all while taking care of yourself just fine.

The build is pretty much full time single weapon bastard sword melee. I do take endless fucilade for those times I want to use a crossbow, which is very very rare. But its nice to have around.

Key concepts for the build are:

    1. Self buffed 70+ STR with Tensors, Divine Might, Primal Scream. +100 % STR bonus damage from GSWF

    2. Lots of self buffs Stoneskin, Toughen Construct, etc. etc.

    3. Self healing very good with near full bar of repair spells, communion of scribing, lay on hands.

    4. Key weapons: Comryian Bastard Swords (for leveling until you get Nightmare), Nightmare, First Blood, and of course Thunderholm Bastard Sword (I still only have tier II Thunderholm don't have the mats yet for tier III). Nightmare is still my weapon of choice most of the time. One could try Dwarven Axes but I don't think it would be as good as Nightmare by any means.

    5. Rogue acrobat enhancements Haste Boost, Sky Flourish, Shadow Dodge and the most important NO MERCY. Rogue Uncanny Dodge and Evasion.

    6. Knight of the Chalice enhancement Divine Might. Pali CHA bonus to saves and as many Divine Might's as you will ever need (I skiped shrines a LOT with this build)

    7. Battle Engineer Hand and a Half weapon line, trap skills, +3 Action Boosts

    8. Bladeforged Communion of Sentinel (saves), Communion of Scribing, Improved Power Attack, Power of the Forge, Weapon Attachment

    9. High UMD, High Trap Skills, Evasion, Decent self buffed 60+ REF save, other saves decent

    10. Gear of choice in epics for me: Black Dragon Helm, Black Scale Docent, Any Rune Arm (mostly for Green Slot and Colorless Slot and a little extra weapon damage). Pendant of Stormreaver, Planer focus of Prowess for extra PRR with Nightmare, Deadly goggles of resistance (swap with GS Conq Opp), Stormreaver's Tablecloth or Jeweled cloak with CHA +7 and INT +7 slotted, ring of Master Artifice, Ring of Shadows (swap with Ring of Deceit), Orcish Privateer's boots, Nether Grasps, Bracers of Twisting Shade (swap with Greater Conv Bracers of Sup Parry for saves), Some random dodge belt or Skullduggery EE version with Dodge 10%.

    11. Twists of fate: Sense Weakness, Grim Precision, Primal Scream, (if you have 4th slot Insightful Reflexes). If only have 4/2/1 or 4/1/1 twists would go Sense weakness, Primal Scream and Insightful Reflexes.

    12. Full Time Legendary Dreadnought, get that blitz going!

Note: be careful how you take the feats to take advantage of the free artificer feats. See build level plan below. You also need to make sure to put 8 ranks into skill BALANCE before you can take Single Weapon Fighting (hence why I took rogue at lvl 5, Balance is an inherent rogue skill).

Why not 16 artificer / 2 rogue / 2 paladin ? you'll get deadly weapon this way or is there something really good with 4 lvls of paladin and 4 lvls of rogue ?

Pal 4 gets you turn undead which saves you twisting Bane of Undeath. Rog 4 gives you access to Killer - I personally went 16a/2m/2p for my swf arti. Was a blast.

Rogue 4 for uncanny dodge and a bit extra sneak damage and more skill points. Pali 4 for fear immunity and spell protection from evil (yes I don't like carrying around a clicky).

16/2/2 is also good, until they change pali divine grace.

I've done several jugg variants and this is better than any TWF nightmare build....the SWF line really shines here.

I've never made a video I'm about to TR out of this and do other PL since I finished up all my melee stuff. I will try to make a video before I TR just don't know what software to use.

Here is some screen shots from an ee DA completion at lvl 28. Note....nothing but nightmare. No thunderholm weaps, just nightmare. Used 6-7 pots. Only shrined once. No summons, just blitz and go.

Would this build be adaptable to a a bit simpler for IE less tomes and first life I wanted a to use the class splits but wow the cost on this build is crazy on tomes first run

So if I was to do I first build on this what the bare min on tomes to get the feats needed I will most likely not do epics with this build it just for a the solo ideas. I like in a first build

Is it at all possible ?

    Thumbs up hi nice build

can u show a pic off u spells list fore the arti ?

Default Thought it was only me :)

I've been playing with a 16 arty 2 pally 2 monk BF on my main on Khyber. SWF+Rune Arm+Casting. I went dex for dmg, sit at 30 str to hit. SWF line, quicken, maximize, mith body, insightful reflexes, evo + greater evo focus, Perfect SWF, and another evo focus. Still tier-one thunder or nightmare. I play in Draconic to max rune arm dc and damage with Corruption of Nature EE, but I am looking to pick Mu'Ray's Fire. Much better choice for my build and I can focus on electric damage. My saves are 60+, will is only 60. With AC: Haste twisted, I can hit over 60% attack speed. I know I do really decent melee dmg with Thunder sword-150-250 per hit and crit around 350-400, though I've seen 500 playing in LD for fun. My rune arm though puts out at max charge ridiculous dmg, 300-800 a shot, and more if it's weak vs. acid. I really love this build and I can see where yours works too.

However, I'd love to get it to 18 arty for two more spell slots.

After U23, I fear losing my saves, and if it's below par, I may LR+ the pally lvls out.

Nice build. Can't wait to see the harper tree.

    Default This build is tight!

Had been playing a 16Art/2Ftr/2Rogue SWF BSword build which although sub-optimal was still a blast till swapping back to my my completionist Mokune to get some epic PLs. This is Mokune's 15th life, Comp+2 Ranger lives. Was thinking of a couple arti lives next when I get burned grinding karma...lots to go cause I don't use stones. I did use one of the first xp stones to level a quick Wizard life but that was I hated playing casters LOL

I think I'll try this after picking up a second tier of CotQ and getting back to 28. It looks pretty tight and I've got an unopened battle box to pick up a Nightmare.

Although, I'd be really hard pressed not to try a BF Pally pure or 15 with some Ftr/etc. BSword, SWF, Shield Mastery line and orb in off hand
