    Default Sting: Dex Shuriken Build

    Posting this as an example for Thrower Builds.

    Update for U30

    Sting
    Halfing Rogue 11 Ranger 6 Monk 3

    This is a Halfling Dex based Shuriken Build built around U17, but still played today.
    This toon focuses on dps only, defense is lacking so is best played for an experienced hand or as backup dps to a party.

    Trash is dead before it would matter. Poison also only happens on crits for the increased dmg.

    The above dragon I only attacked 5 times before it was dead.

    it is handy on hp bags. The stacks add up quickly and venomed blades scale 200% with ranged power, plus 100% more with full ninja stack. It is a handy DoT. But to each his or her own.

    Its garbage on HP bags to, post Shadowstar and Crit Range nerfs.

    Great build Sting, I've been threorycrafting a SA damage Thrower build, and this is a great cut of it.

    I'm considering a 14 Rogue/6Monk. Ranger is awesome, but 10k Ranged power and Doubleshot is huge, and you only 10% Doubleshot in Mechanic, but actually gain some throw speed, SA dice, and Ranged Power.

    What do you think?

    I was thinking rog 13 / monk 6 / rgr 1: 4 APs in DWS gets you +2d6 SA and +5m PBS range. [EDIT: and the +3 Hide bonus is another +1 SA from SotEthereal Plane.] I presume you'd be going T5 Mechanic, so you're talking somewhere in the neighborhood of 7d6 rog lvls + 3d6 racial + 2d6 Ninja + 2d6 DWS + 2d6 Mechanic + 3d6 ISA + 6d6 SD = 25d6 SA. [Altho maybe DC or LD is better than SD?] That's 39 AP Mechanic + 11 APs halfling + 8 APs Ninja + 4 APs DWS = 62 APs, so not enough left for Killer. 15 APs Harper (+9 RP) and 3 more APs into Ninja for Shadow Form?

    I think that would be a good build if focusing on IPS. Aimed shot is a huge loss if playing precise shot builds. Feats might not be as nice as with ranger involved as well. I found that to true with the bard shuriken.

    Why rogue 14? Could be a 1 splash... Not sure what though. Monk 7 is a waste.

    As with so many builds I find the limit is the ap spread. I would have to find a plan for that. Making me think.

    But I would do...

    25 harper

    Ranged power and Harper skill enhancements fix the dmg lost to dmg dice.

    Dancer would be my choice but dread is better dmg only because of the crit mult addition in tier 5.

    Splash 1pally for 1d4 light dmg, or 2 pally for saves and light dmg?? Cheap ap wise
