They actually did start a new, innovative coin sorting facility. However, after the coin-tasters all came down with dragonshard poisoning, it was abandoned as a failed experiment.

Why don't the Coin Lords have coin sorting technology?
They do, but they're kept in offshore tax havens.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.
