They double charged my bank account for an ingame purchase. After lodging a ticket, and not hearing from SSG for a month, I asked my bank to take care of it. They immediately locked my account, and I can no longer login to DDO.

Ahh that one... As I mentioned before, it may be best to walk away or simply take a long break from the game. Either it will sort itself out or it wont, so no point losing sleep over it.

Case in point: Many years back I was stationed overseas (in Germany) serving as part of the US Navy. (now retired) Upon coming back to the states, I could no longer access my DDO account as I forgot the login / password. Apparently changing my email from Yahoo to Google wasn't well received by SSG, and thus recovery of the account via Yahoo was no longer possible. (Yahoo email account no longer existed by this time) After several lengthy attempts over 6 months to contact SSG Customer-Service "CS" (total misnomer i know) I finally spoke in-person with both a Dev and CS rep. They old me, that even knowing the account name, the credit-card used and all the other pertinent information, that they were not authorized to recover my account. Out of disgust, I walked away from the game for another 1-2 years. Until one day I realized what my login and password were, by shear chance.

Side Note: This is why I'm openly spiteful towards SSG to this day. That and they love to delete posts and ban posters for minor or stupid infractions.

My point being... SSG CS will not actively help you, or isn't very likely to, unless a Dev actively intervenes on your behalf. Even then, its very likely that the situation is beyond what they are authorized to do. In the meantime, reach out to a Dev using their social media as they clearly don't use the forums for customer engagement. Even then, don't expect for it to be resolved anytime soon, if at all.

While your still all upset and motivated over this incident...

Reach out to your bank, credit-card and DDO's payment-processor (the one you used to make the purchase) to explain what happened. Possibly they can provide some amplifying details that may help you. Still though, It's worth reporting SSG, if nothing else, just to tarnish their reputation with the transaction services they depend on.
