This loot it pretty nice looking and I would love to use it. But some of this loot won't tetris in without having the sun/moon augs that cover the set bonuses of the gear it would be replacing. So it falls under the same issue as the rest of MD loot, the rare loot table augments being super tiny...
And it isn't removed by design:
You can replace the LGS salt or whatever effect you want over and over and over again (as long as you burn the upgrade mats). That's really nice; just farm/get 1 raid weapon and adjust the extra effect on it as needed for any given build/setup.
Making the reflection armors of (crownblade/art/war) removed any curses and reaper bonuses I had on stuff. I assume the weapon ones will be the same issue as they're replacing the items with better versions.
The sealed in fire/temperance of spirit slots for adding LGS effects/stats are probably...
Yeah, it's just the weapon suite stuff for trade (and the fallen/golden age weapons are their own loot table that can drop independently of the named items- even then, I've barely seen any golden aged weapons for anyone in any party). The named rares (like the golden age shield) are horribly low...
The last patch added vendors that lets you trade golden age weapons at ratio of 2-to-1 to the weapon type of your choice (there's also a trade option at 2-to-1 for fallen age weapons).
Steel is explaining there that you can do what I did with the build; and I could even take spell specialty evoc at 34 (by using the illusion line as a pre-req); so I could effectively double up if I really wanted to.
If you look at the feats, these are the sequence that matters:
lvl 3 evoc focus
lvl 6 greater evoc focus
lvl 27 epic evoc focus
lvl 31 spell speciality illusion
These don't matter; they're just me taking a 2nd line of focuses:
lvl 18 illusion focus
lvl 30 greater illusion focus
lvl 33 epic...
Because specialty's pre-req is having taken a line of spell focus that's different than the one you're taking. So evoc's focus line lets one take any spell school but evoc... Taking the illusion specialty (via evoc feats pre-req) and illusion feats too lets me stack them for big oomph (and if...
For MD, I plan to adjust the feats a bit to lean a bit heavier into getting DCs higher (I might swap the spell specialty to necro). Still messing around with EDs. On someone with a few epic past lives/destiny tomes, one could grab the EA/SD debuffs along with timestop from magus; but not quite...
Fun is subjective. If enough people have "you" problems then it's a bigger issue; but I suspect being in a such a rush to not talk to the quest NPCs that are all closely grouped up isn't gonna be a bigger issue.
I didn't spend money to get my spot on there; and I've finished each season with a ton more DDO points than I started with. Whaling isn't needed to do HC. I'm sure some people spend like wild, but I'd suspect many of the biggest spenders likely never even hit lvl 20.
