That’s a problem I’d love to have again.
Playing on Khyber after US East goes to bed, you might have two LFMs up, neither of which are in your level range.
The crowds are my favourite thing about hardcore.
As long as they don’t repeat rare loot, I’m excited to move to a busy place!
I really wanted to go to Cormyr because it’s a Forgotten Realms name (I don’t care about Oerth or Eberron settings). But it looks as if Thane is the place to go if you want casual raids and large LFM population.
So… what will Oerik and Cormyr become?
Yeah, I really only play on one server... but everyone is moving to one of three new places. So there are a lot of people I've played with on and off who I'll never see again.
I have the sad, and I'm frustrated that we need to have so many new servers. ESO can have everyone on one server, but...
I have been limping along with a crossbow build, and decided to swap to inquisitive to get faster attacks. Still no better - I can click the attack button, see an animation, see another animation, see yet another animation, then start seeing damage numbers. This isn't isolated. It's pretty much...
The only rare loot that I’m willing to accept - meaning “willing to keep playing DDO” - is for things like mounts, pets, etc.
Jibbers is a special case but again it’s fine for that to be super rare because nobody will build a gear set that needs it.
The moment there’s a mechanical effect, it...
Getting 10 on 10d6 happens an average of once in 6x6x6x6x6x6x6x6x6x6 times, or once in about sixty million attempts.
They don’t need to cheat to avoid that. If you get a 10, just laugh and deal with it.
All I can add is that looking more into dhampir stories of the 19th and 20th centuries has been my strangest rabbit hole in a long time. What a fun thing to do :)
Alucard is first seen in the 1943 movie as far as I know (if you find an earlier attention, I’d love to know about it). But that...
There are a few other fun ones that draw from the same pool of Balkan mythology. And you’re right, it’s fun to research! There are dozens of 20th-century dhampir so I’ll throw a couple out.
Countess Mary’s Zaleska (1936)
Baron Meinster (1969)
Alucard as a dhampir showed up in 1943 and beyond...
lol no
Dhampir weren't invented for a cartoon. They come from Balkan Vampire folklore which has been around for ~~700 years (where human/vampire halfbreeds were part of the mythology). The earliest attestation of the word "dhampir" is iirc 18th century, more or less.
So unless your favourite...
In 5e they can be any race, and in pathfinder they are either a dedicated race (humanoid with dhampir subtype) or a template. 4e had half- vampire as a template, iirc.
The standard version is just that one of their parents is a vampire.
In a report full of dollar figures, “increased activity” could mean “increased number of account cancellation requests” or “increased number of new subscribers” or anything in between.
But think long term: cormyr means that all the current servers will be replaced by two or three new servers...
