I think a better decision would have been to place all the rare loot in the wilderness whilst providing teleporting thus...gamers interested in the dungeons could teleport whilst rare loot hunters would stick to the wilderness. That satisfies the SSG objective of ensuring the wilderness is also...
to the devs: you COULD create a dialog system similar to this to make it easy for gamers to pack multiple characters simultaneously. Such a feature would be particularly useful for gamers with 10+ characters that need transferring to new 64bit homes
to all gamers: you should prepare by executing random windows/linux commandline commands. this will be painful especially if you have 30+ characters across multiple gaming accounts
the transfer process can only transfer characters that have been packed. I'm assuming there is some kindof flagging process to tell the transfer process xyz chracaters have been packed.
One could argue a checkbox system could be used to allow gamers to choose which charcaters to pack...similar...
Oerik was better than shadowblade but whatever.
Anyway a number of gamers have mentioned essentially the same issue: stranded guildships as a result of moving their characters onto a different 32bit server.
I request SSG and impacted gamers get together and formulate a solution that works for...
msg the guild member AND msg SSG and see where that takes you. SSG might gift you guild leader so you can xsfer that guildship to a desired 64bit server
tell your friend immediately. if he fails to respond move his account across plz. And you should try to find ways to seek peace with him. The fact he allowed you to keep using his account suggests a basic implicit trust and he expects you to return the favor by reaching out to him with an...
that's very astute however there is a problem...the Nameless One very accurately "predicted" the arrival of the 64bit servers. so either they are a soothsayer escaped from one of homer's classics or...
Or the Nameless one is an executive either at SSG or...EG7...possibly even Mr Ji Ham. So I'm...
SSG clearly like creating problems for themselves instead of focusing on the the core fundamentals of ensuring a smooth transfer experience.
For example...how will they calculate GuildXP of guildmembers who have already quit the guild? Will that form a new base Guild XP?
If I were to hazard a guess the server locations were NOT chosen because of gamer population density BUT...
cost of facilities V performance of facilities. I'm guessing Las Vegas offered the best solution hence the 64bits will be located there
I would expect a direct server to server trasnfer of guild account details. SSG aren;t going to waste time recalculating GuildXP blah blah per character. Thus the GuildXP will remain the same though all inactive characters will be lost if their gamers fail to transfer
if you have one gaming account with 60 characters across 5 serverworlds the likelihood is you'll be making use of multiple 64bit servers thereby making such polls redundant
My fellow gamers, think not what SSG can for you...but what you can do for SSG!
And with that thought inmind back to groundrealities:
1. if you have unused charcater slots you will need to create a test character (preferably upto 3)
2. dump plat, potions, dailyroll XP etc but only the kind that...
