Ok I think I cheated the exclusion issue by reactivating antivirus after I confirmed Windows the unknown editor of the file can be trusted (at game launch by steam) and remains ingame. Other .exe I saved have been put to quarantine, but at least the right one in the game directory seems to stay...

Ok reinstallation is perfect, game launches and works fine without antivirus active. I added the directories and the DnDlauncher.exe to exclusions, but this does not work - as soon as I reactivate antivirus it gets the file (and all its version I tried to save) and put it in quarantine. Right...

Ok its a good point to start, I'll clean the directory then I'll make a proper reinstall without the antivirus running, then add directory and .exe to exclusions and verify. Thx for suggestions I'll go work on it.

Same here, slow loading since 2 days, very annoying. Most of times takes more than 4mins to load, a few times just stops. Now its not even ingame that we need patience, it is before! Sometimes I'm amazed how zen I became facing this game after 18 years!! Must be an improvement ^^
