This. So much this. I run with the Cleric hires, and almost every one (with raising ability) refuses to heal me, but is more than happy to raise me. Then I have to raise them because they die raising me. (That's why I have 4 Ring of the Ancestors on my clicky bar.)
I don't play casters much, but it seems like when I do, I cast a DOT on an enemy, when I die, the DOT I cast goes away. The same should apply to DOT's cast on me (or a PC).
Maybe someone who plays casters better than I (which is almost everyone :LOL: ) can verify.
DOT's should expire when the caster of said DOT dies. When you're the only rogue in the party, the game can come to a standstill waiting for the DOT to unlock or open something.

I'd rather have to gather than have a barrier pop up when the first person crosses a threshold, making the rest of the party click on something to join the fight. Barriers like that are stupid.

This should be a hot fix. It's really annoying having to re-log after death inside a quest to get your buffs back. The fact that it's not just bolsters the perceived attitude that the devs don't care about the VIP's.
