I agree they should polish the step-by-step process before publishing. The other details they released already concerning the overall transition process if very good. the Pack/Unpack step-by-step is all that I see remaining to be released.
Dark Sun was always a very small nitch in D&D. The players I played with tried it for 2-3 campaigns but found Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance much better for our preferences.
I wish that SSG would go back to GOLD being the major coin in DDO. This would adjust the economy to make both SILVER and PLATINUM to have more value. As a DM I generally put my campaigns economic value mostly on SILVER so that when you acumulate some GOLD it has more meaning.
I have a few questions about this feature when it is time to transfer to our new 64-bit worlds.
Where will the Pack or Un-Pack feature be located?
Is the Pack and/or Un-Pack feature an item that brings up an in-game box?
To confirm I read it is best to just transfer one character at a time to...
I see that your post is "I can't be bothered to read the documentation SSG has posted, so I blame them for everything."
SSG has been extremely crystal clear on the process for the transfers to the new worlds. You can show a horse the water, but you can't make them drink.
I'm a VIP also and play with many Free-to-Play players and have no issue with it. But the game does require revenue to exist. So SSG certainly should be charging money where they can.
