I don't plan on crafting since I have all the expansions, I just use Saltmarsh gear for the hour I'm level 3 and 4 before I can wear Feywild gear. Then I use a Ferrocrystal weapon for the occasional time I can't kill an ooze/rust monster any other way.

I don't want ransack potions, I want chest ransack done away with. Letting people gamble shards infinitely should be the only money-making system they have on chests.

They probably either saw that enough whales spend money on it to be worth keeping it, or they're still adjusting it to find a potential sweet spot to where enough whales spend money on it.
