Well, I have seen it elsewhere that this knowlege of "the only option at high levels" kind of trickles down into "you need to play that in ALL levels !"
Therefore removing any kind of creativity at lower levels ...
It felt like some kind of "peer pressure".
Even at lower levels it was like : "If...
Their decisions to play the game the way they want to ?
Nobody is forcing them to play a certain play style - but, alas, "fun builds" are frowned upon by a lot of forum peopleconsidering a certain play style as "proper play style" ...
To me, that says only 1 thing : "That class / tree branch is too good."
I always hated it when people sayd "you must/should play it this way". That drove me away from another MMO and further into offline single player territory.
Well, I didn't remember anymore that they had more in planning ... So, I'll just wait and see ...
When I compare Sahuagin with Red Wizards ... wow what a difference in numbers ! ;)
And yes, the Sahuagin are "ancient" in DDO terms [of development], but even the Netherese seem to go more out of...
Hello,
I played the Myth Drannor story line through with guild buddies.
However, I was missing something ... And after doing the last quest (we don't do high level raids in that group) I realized it :
I was missing direct encounters with the Red Wizards.
I was having the impression as if...
10 years ago or more me, a new player : Mixing Fort with Fort ( read : mixing Fortitude with Fortification) - thus putting as many points into Fortitude as I could do ...
Two points :
- The Sharn Syndicate has really unique looking armor, especially from Kear. One example is that shield which looks like the head of Vol.
This gear is random, though. Only Kear is a reliable source of quite different looking gear.
- I hold a theory that items from the lowest level...
On a personal level, I must say that I don't have the feeling as if I had participated there at all.
This is due to the fact that I play nowadays primarily once in a week via a "guild run", and apart from that, I'm currently not doing much with DDO.
It might be different in different times, but...
Regarding Reaper difficulty :
We already have some sort of "arms race" going on.
Reaper -> difficult -> more stats on items -> higher damage output by characters -> Reapers become easier because of that ...
I still do have a few items from ten years ago. One prized possession . A helmet...
This is what came into my mind the other day, too.
No matter how much I participate with my low level and mid level characters - I only end up unlocking quests for the end game player base, not for me (unless I belong to this player base as well by having an end game character as well).
This...
Hello,
instead of criticising, which will get me only remarks that no-one is excluded,
I'm turning the table upside down, so to say, and I ask :
How can I contribute to this event with my low-level to mid level characters ?
How can I have fun out of this event with my low-level and mid-level...
Those who don't have level 32 characters are excluded.
I have only 1 level 30, and that's my highest level character at all.
End game players will of course that it is super easy to get to that level range.
In my opinion, they are suffering from this, whithout even noticing ...
