You know that's not what Hardcore players mean when they say they want Hardcore back, right?

One of the best things in my opinion about HC the way it was, was the real feel of community that I've never seen on any regular server. That could not be replicated on a permanent server nor with a lanterns style event. That is one of the things that made HC great.

I don't want a permanent HC server. I just want hardcore back the way it was. That said, I haven't played in months. I keep checking back to see if they will bring back Hardcore, and if they do, I will return. That option isn't on your survey, so I didn't take part. But that's my answer.

A return of the real Hard Core Seasons. The lantern thing didn't do it for me.

I am baffled and looking for any insight please. I am doing a heroic TR after an epic TR from 32. My character was a human AA ranger and I want to do the same again, but when I pick ranger, all the choices are greyed out. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious here. Help?

That is not a good comparison. There is a huge difference between my phone company and SSG. I signed a contract with my phone company guaranteeing me the service I pay for. The TOS for DDO does not make any such guarantee, in fact, it explicitly states the opposite.

It's just not worth getting all fired up over it. There's plenty in my life that fits that category; I prefer when my leisure activities don't add to my stress. You're free to see that as bootlicking if it makes you happy. I really don't care.

You are far more optimistic than I am. If it's really something we can all take part in, like the dragon hoard in HCL8 for instance, that's one thing. If it's more like the Illithid event, well... no thanks.

Players who don't play HC won't miss HC. Not sure what your point is there. As for splitting the players, events and HC don't have to run at the same time.
