I wish they were not feats (or maybe 1 feat for all of them). Maybe some other mechanism to grant epic spells? With DCs where they are at, it is very hard to justify using a feat for a single spell.

Agree. I will probably just do AT 15/Art 4/Fighter 1 PDK I prefer iconic lives for quick leveling. Should be fine as Inquisitive and then move on after 3x lives. The no fail extra CC and sneak dice will work well.

If I might suggest, along with spell DC, one main issue is the gap between casters that have immunity bypass vs. the rest, and the high reaper penalty, which to me is no longer needed post epic strike changes. It would go a long way to fixing at least somewhat the state of DPS casters at cap...

I just hope they don't "forget" that most casters DC are not like tactics DC or disable device. OR we will end up with 170 DC saves in the next expansion.

I think the epic version is worth consideration for casters, as threat reduction gear is not very easy to get. I think it stacks with everything? Personally, "expeditious retreat" clickies are good enough on top of the PL and PDK sprint boost for me (or haste). There are also level 8...

Personally, better spells and extra DC boosts in the tree might be better than very limited spells and long cool-downs. The level 4 spell max is an issue; give them 5-10 DC in the tree to balance it out, get rid of the DD DC.

I don't know about disable device DC, it seems very OP. If they don't limit it by cooldowns or crappy spell selection. They should scrap it IMO, and just give +5 DC in the tree to offset the low spell levels and heigthen.

For sure, the bar for casters now is that you grind everything if you want to do DC-related stuff. So I do think the trickster stuff would be good for low life characters and less well geared. I think you are missing +3 Illusion DC from Deep Gnome (soon to be +6 when I grind out trickster...

I get it, but if you are going to use disable device as the DC, I don't think you can give them short cool downs, or it will be completely broken with no fail DCs.

I know it won't happen, but Archmage should be able to apply imbue damage to spells or something like that to give it some other niche. I agree they need to give some sort of better AOE, maybe Arcane Blast as a spell thief option, potentially Arcane Tempest.

I think they should also re-look at Shiradi proc rates for this. They should change Shiradi to the same proc chance as ranged to make this more viable as a playstyle again.

I can do about 3x the burst damage on my current repeater build, where I literally put 0 effort in farming gear, compared to the caster I had spent several years getting BiS gear. It's also the most mindless class to play, literally 6 buttons and re-buff the stance every couple of minutes.

I doubt it, while Dragonlord was very strong NONE of the caster Archetypes are that good. You can make an argument for Stormsinger vs. Bard or WildMage vs Sorcerer, but neither is remotely "meta".

I barely play, I sit at cap on my main as a repeater, farming Lamordia caster gear in the off chance they make some meaningful changes at some point.
