Anywhere where there's a ton of spellcasters. Seems to me spellchuckers are almost always champs over the melee mobs. At least double the chance. I always get way less remnants in chests than I do from just a mob drop. Like 4 remnants in a chest vs 15 or more from a mob drop. Maybe its my RNG...
I watched Strimtom's stream and he went through the list but talking to the Djinn, many items either are not there or are different? Also the xp gem - wasn't it supposed to be 200k? The one in the game is 100k?
Unless I am missing something?
Yeah, anything non-raidy. But I can still do most content except reaper. Reaper stresses me out too much and I just need to relax.
You don't need silly stats for non-reaper. Besides, I have eleventy billion alts. I'd need to be Elon Musk to afford stat tomes for them all.
Just craft your own with slashing damage plus elemental damage prefix and suffix up to lvl 10 then barovian LS. I have several blank swords with a red slot and adamantine I craft up. Even a lowbie sword can be Adamantine with +2d6 slash,+2d6 elemental and a 2d6 Ruby augment if you can find them...
EQ2 gave xp per monster. As you got higher levels the amount of monsters you had to kill to even just about see your xp bar move was about the same as shoving the Earth into a black hole.
It just turned the game into a soul destroying grind.
This way is much better.
There's also an element of "be careful what you wish for". Everquest 2 was completely destroyed as a game despite having acres of background and a metric ton of lore, super-interesting ideas and content and just was an all round amazing experience. Great tradeskilling, home building, brilliant...
To be honest the team is being pretty innovative with what hey have. The game engine was aleady obsolete by the time it was released in 2006. The graphics were substantially lower quality to other games released at the same time. they are still lower than LotRO.
So credit where its due, they...
Game is in maintenance mode right now and probably till it dies.
1. No changes to the game's engine will happen. Ever.
2. No changes to the UI will happen unless its directly linked to a bug fix
3. Only changes will be to monetization options. Various levels.
4. Expansions will continue but...
This is the same for all MMO's really. I'm from the UK and had the same issue with all the MMO's I've played. Its just "the way it is". Best thing about DDO is that its a regular schedule and not all over the shop like a lot of others. Weds I always know will be limited so can plan to do other...
Calling these "cursed" is a massive fail. I have totally avoided the entire mechanic thinking my character will be hit with a permanent detriment or something. We seriously need an in-game knowledge base for all these completely unexplained mechanics
Long casting times and enemies phasing behind you after starting the cast. Spell is wasted and spell points lost because mob can run straight through you. Mob dying before your spell lands is another one due to long casting animation. Some help with that would come in handy.
I completely forgot about reaper. That's a good point. I'm useless at it but R1 is easy enough. We've dabbled in our friends guild and mostly we discovered it helps when nobody in the group is actually drunk. Which is rare for us.
I'm using the Morninglord's Greatsword with 3 slots unlocked thanks the sentient XP boosts from other servers that all went over to 64 bit servers.
Not sure I have IoD at the moment.
I've tried. I managed to do Into The Mists on EE at lvl 32 by lots of kiting and a can of Monster to hand but OMG it took about 20 minutes to kill one of those hay stacked bags of hit points. That said, not bad on a 1st life toon with kind of middling gear and an old slow person on a caffeine...
