Thank you, this is much more clear! As an aside, do Champion monsters in new wilderness zones drop Mysterious Remnants? I killed several Champions on Legendary Elite, and did not notice any remnants.

First discrepancy from the release notes: New wilderness does in fact have a "Reaper lockout". I tried to enter Heroic Darklake on a level 17 toon, and Reaper difficulty was closed to me. Exact same message we get when trying to enter a quest on a toon more than 4 levels above quest level.

Years ago a mimic event (may have been the very first mimic event) had a similar bug in A New Invasion. If a chest (any chest) spawned a mimic, killing the mimic would complete the quest. You still had to fight Barnzidu if you wanted the end chest, but if you did not care about the end reward...

Don't know if it is related, but The Sunken Sewer also got an upgrade. Not just cosmetic either -- it now has more kobolds. In particular, the optional corridor in the north, which used to have only spiders, now has kobolds too.

OK, I must have been misreading something. I just did Depths of Discord on R1, got a blue mote, made sure to take a screenshot which showed my lute durability (486), then took another one after the fight. Guess what, it went up to 498, just as everyone says it should. Sorry, I am an idiot.

I did not have an xp potion, nor Master's Gift. The only bonus I had was 10% from Lesser Tome of Learning, and on Reaper I was definitely getting 22 points (20 + ten percent) from FIRST blue mote, and then 11 from the subsequent blue motes. On Elite, they were all 11 points.

I can see how this would be a problem in Kobold Assault or something similar, but vast majority of quests do not have an endless stream of mobs.

This happened to me once. I assumed it happened because I was holding a level -- I was 3 levels above the quest, but had enough xp for another level. Was that the case with you, by any chance? Or someone in your party?

Most (all?) fey creatures have DR/Cold Iron. Does slotting a Ruby of Feybane into a weapon which is not Cold Iron bypass this DR?
