Oh hell nah. No fail Spell pen requirements are already unattainable. Making it worse won't help. High DC's are useless if your spell pen isn't breaking through.

It's not just DCs that are a major problem. Spell resistance and spell pen are insurmountable mountains too. What good is a high spell DC when your spell pen can't overcome the SR?

To the best of my awareness, every IK and CC spell is subject to spell resistance. I struggled and could only get to 45 while balancing everything else. 45 is far from no fail on high reapers. It's a crap shoot with loaded dice. It is 1 billion times easier to just go with a melee toon and...

That sounds good but... The next biggest hurdle is spell pen. You need 60-70 for high reaper. I can't even imagine how in the world someone can get spell pen that high. A high DC with a low spell pen is a useless spell.

On top of all of that, casters have to get a spell pen of 60-70 for high level reapers. Just getting to 45 was a herculean effort for me.

Just do the same for casters that you did for assassins when their no fail DCs were unreachable. Add more ways to increase them. A path to a +20 increase by end game should be sufficient.

I'm one of "the uber-completionist-reaper-geared-best-curse build" and let me tell you... after all of that I'm still lacking in my spell Dcs. It's crazy to expect people to invest years of work and dozens of PLs just to barely get acceptable spell DCs.

I did make a suggestion which I thought would be better. You just didn't see it. From what I understand, the Lam forum offered criticism as well and it went unheard.
