2025 Fire Sorcerer Gear sets help

Hi

Does anyone have sets, suggestions or links to builds with gear sets for a fire sorcerer that is "up to date"? I'm really bad at doing gear tetris myself, so I really love it when I can just find a set to farm.

I have also really enjoyed those who post "low effert", "medium effort" and "high effort" gear sets. I don't get to play that much anymore, and for any toon but my main (fire sorc is not main) getting new raid gear is... not gonna happen.. I really would like a "medium effort one"... I have a gazillion bank alts with nonraid gear, so might find most there, though maybe not from Isle of Dread and later, so might have to farm for that, vecna and myth drannor.

Though... I have not seen much posts like this for a long time. Are they being posted elsewhere? Have build posting become less usual because people are afraid devs will nerf builds once they know about them? Or

Here is my fire sorc setup. Its still mostly Dino based as thats just so very good - and neither Vecna nor MD is great for casters.

Note though that I have a 2 set bonus trinket which is a very lucky roll. You could swap the belt for a MD belt with +3 profane stats etc. :
Legendary Strap of Savviness

Its a bit of a mixed dc / fire sorc.
Unbuffed in the Markedplace
Fire : 998/ 69% / 108%
PRR: 240 , MRR 102

Quickily put in this, getting couple important set. No Elder GOMF, No raid gear.
You will want gear from IOD/Vecna/MD. IMO, Vecna are easiest to get but least powerful.
IOD is a long farm, but the spell damage boost is huge.

need arcane spell failure reduction for using medium armor with the sharn set.

Just some thought on the gear tetris

I think you would enjoy upgrading to IoD & maybe 2pc gear sets & maybe vecna or older raid items (DoJ gloves, LShroud offhand or accessories etc)

IoD artifacts are fantastic for nukers, easy to add in crit damage.

im really glad someone else asked as this was exactly what i was looking for. i love this game, but the gear tetris can be a little stressful at times, i appreciate everyone feedback, and suggestions so far. upgrading can be really stressful, especially since some items have taken a rather long time to get going already.

then i saw that first post, being "low effort set" but having 6 raid items? a perfected nebula fragment item? possible gold roll GOMF (some saying it cost them as much as 10000 threads to get what they wanted) and iod and LGS weapons. even after the op said "getting new raid gear is... not gonna happen.. and fire sorc is not my main." wouldnt think they would want to spend months farming gear or spend that many runes to get the items.

maybe i am missing something? from my experience, raid items you want don't drop, even in groups who are willing to pass if it does. so looking at about a month to farm runes?

not including the "most people who play ddo don't raid" portion.

im sure its a good set, but... any way we can maybe change this to like... a medium effort? (im not even going to ask what you consider "high effort"

to be clear, i appreciate the post very much! and its defiantly something to aim for. but when i saw that many raid items, under low effort. i felt a disconnect.

Hakosit and lostgunman's set seems like a great place to start, DBZ and Mikarddo maybe a little more of a medium term goal. cant wait to see the high effort posts...

I would still call fitting 3-piece sharn 5-piece vecna 2-piece elder a medium effort.
Low effort is something you dont really have set bonus or weaker set bonus from older content
Raid/IOD/MD are high effort for me.

Personally, I'd consider 5-piece vecna a much higher effort than IOD. Most of the quests in IOD are short and easy. You also have the explorer area that is very easy to farm some stuff from. The IOD stuff is great, even if you don't do the raid.

Getting the non-raid base could be fast but you would need to craft on all those 5 items
which is a sick load of farm.

Has anyone updated this for fire nuking with the latest MD and packs that came after?
This post is trying to build a new player friendly set up. MD gear is a grind for gear, augment and raid set augment which is not covered.

Or you could work on that.

The non rare MD gear isnt too bad to get. Id imagine its not too different to IOD if you plan on upgrading all the items in your set.

Currently using a max helpless damage fire sorcercer build, and my gear set is kinda ....strange. It's pretty whack actually. I still get run over in mid-reapers. Anyone have a non-squishy build?

Your best bet is to put points into Eldritch Knight and equip a large shield and (eventually) medium armor. This is assuming still in heroics.
