Personal dreams for 20th anniversary:
I'm not needy for the anniversary rewards - though I hope there will be massive benefits for logging in and playing so that more people hop back on to play.

I'd be ecstatic for black, blue and dark red (not flame, but dark red - less bright) reaper wings and angel wings like those on the Devas. I don't however expect any of these to ever be implemented.

Personal dreams for 2026:
- Reaper update
- Token / heroic TR rework - I legitimately don't understand why tr'ing needs this friction, at all.
- A convoluted pain in the ass raid that requires teamwork of some kind with truly unique rewards - not like... a single room fight for another source of LGS debuff weapons slapped on a different type of dot or "+0.5 / +1 " to stats type upgrade - but legitimately unique stuff. We will be 36 soon - this will be "endgame raid" from here till lights go out for people to run.

We have not had a proper raid for a long time!

I think Den of Vipers is a fantastic raid but it is not very complex or convoluted and it's quite... "stationary".

We could use some more complexity in our raids as we've had quite a few raids that are for the most part located in one room. No true epics.

YOU HAVE ANY EVIDENCE OF THIS alleged rebalance
Evidence? No. Hope? Not really. But i do have an anger, a focussed loatihng towards SSG for the systematic nerfing of casters and their total failure to provide any rational argument or reason for having done so. I hate the fact that casters are not relevant at end game, that raid groups would never want a warlock (for example; unless extremely niche debuffer with max rxp and past lives). I am totally frustrated with SSG on their zero communication policy, their knowing alienation of parts of the communitty to privilege ranged and melees over casters, their (in my eyes) arrogance in never replying to our concerns.

Evidence, no. But it's time to fight back. I want answers, i want change, and will publicly pour scorn on all disappointing SSG communications... drum roll for the totally meaningless yearly Producers Letter.

BRING IT ON IN 2026. And a happy new year, hahaha.

I liked this and then realized the "1 per account". No. That type of thing needs to stop, especially if it is BTC. Stop punishing alts and playing on multiple servers.
Yes, for some incomprehensible reason SSG seems to want to kill the alts, as if they weren't a source of income for them.

I want change too. We've been stuck in this miserable situation for years. The developers should be ashamed of creating such inequality between casters and martials, and of designing raids that are completely anti-caster.

But I don't expect much from these developers. There's no one left among them who understands casters. I don't think they know how to balance them; they're designers totally focused on martial styles.

I agree with most of what you wrote, as usual :) except the last part; re-balancing is not so complicated if SSG really wanted to nomatter the staff they have. It's a question of motivation, willingness, understanding the games' mechanics and being able to use a spreadsheet in a very basic way.

I agree completely. No reaper stuff plz, and I am SO tired of wings. Enough of the wings. Give us a really cool mount or maybe a raiders box with the raids the other box does not give so I can get a Quiver of Alacrity since I never get a chance to run that raid and probably never will.
good ideas.. I was thinking about >Dragon Mount (something non cartoonish this time!) ty

How about 5 superior II xp pots, 4 10% named loot pots, 3 free name changes, 2 hearts for TRing and an Ottos box in a pear tree.
THAT'S what we should have got for surviving the 64bit transfers if the haul they gave the LOTRO players for theirs was anything to go by.

For the 20th, I'm expecting a loot extravaganza that would make Scrooge McDuck go "Holy F****** S***!!!!"

Since pretending to be another dude, as a dude, who purchased the box at Walmart: I do not care what the newcomers do or do not get. Reel them in, grab that bag. Give me more that I can or cannot miss out on. Or, do not.

Emerald is the color for a 20th wedding anniversary. Normally, I would ask for emerald colored items. However, green is not a well supported color in DDO. Therefore, I am asking for things that will be easy to mix and match with existing items. Black, white, and silver go with almost everything.

This list is mostly for myself. Some people only care about another +1. That is fine. I am not in that camp, obviously.

I limited my suggestions to items that are easy to produce. If you have the time to create a brand new outfit or steed, great!

Smokey, translucent black dragon wings, like the ones from Year of the Dragon: This item would match lots of outfits already in DDO.

Butterfly wings with a black interior and silver outline: As above.

Robe of Moonlight (Myth Drannor) in black and white, silver and white, black and silver, or black white and silver: As above.

(Since DDO does not have a clothing dye system, offering existing outfits in new color schemes is very easy way to create new rewards. In my opinion, you do not take advantage of this nearly enough.)

Any reward box should include the option for a Quiver of Alacrity. While not very important to me (I have 9), it would be a really nice gesture for all those players who missed previous opportunities.

A level 20 Gold Seal hire would be really fun. I pick level 20 because that offers the most utility (20 to 29) for players behind the curve. Level 30 also offers a lot of utility, especially as the game grows. A rogue that works from 20 to 29 would help many players. A healer or kobold shaman are obvious choices. I would also enjoy a neat creature like an ankylosaurus or griffon.

I would enjoy a plain white horse or plain black horse as a steed. A plain black therapod or plain white therapod would also be great. Again, I choose black and white because those colors match almost any outfit.

For the +1 crowd, a tome of +4 to +5 skill may have appeal. (This item offers very little power creep but does get a character closer to finished.)

A low level propulsion item, like the Cannith Boots of Propulasion. This is not about need. It is not even about advantage. I like zooming around for the fun of it.

A cosmetic item box breaker. This is totally about convenience because I play dagger rogues. I want a piece of cosmetic equipment that, when activated, breaks all boxes in a radius. It needs a fairly fast cooldown.

Anniversary d12 enchanted with Greater Teleport.

I gotta get to work.

Merry Christmas!

I'd like a return or just regular availability of the 100 slots of shared storage that was offered last year. I know SSG really, really loves its limited time promotions and FOMO, but that was a game-changing quality of life upgrade that should never have been time gated. As someone who left the game years ago because I was exhausted managing 9-10 mules to juggle gear, and who returned just after the code expired, I'm both relieved at the improvements to inventory space and gutted every day that such a stunning upgrade had an expiration attached to begin with.

My take: Pet feat that scales like a pet, not a regular hireling. Kobold Favored Soul pet, that follows you 1-40, and refuses to heal you, because Kobold remembers Waterworks. Alternately, Kobold trapper, who like Darling, refuses to open any locked doors or chests at random and refuses to disable traps.

Code is already there, with the main issue being the four classes that get a similar pet being exclusive to it. Which you can probably work around if you want to invest in it; honestly at this point all the gold seal permanent hires should be feats and not items clogging our inventories. Save 20-30 slots! make permanent hires feats! Hell, I'd pay for scalable permanent gold seals; at least a trapper hire. Maybe a Cleric or Favored Soul depending on price.

I expect there will be cosmetics and maybe some L34 versions of party gear, which is fine.

If I was going all out, I'd say a universal caster focused tree. Something that all casting classes can make use of. A few Evocation and Conjuration SLAs on multi selectors and some spell power/crit change/multiplier (universal or otherwise) and DCs. Add some Max Caster Level increases in there.

It can come with a Wizard archetype, and/or a Druid Iconic. Maybe Blade Singer for Wizard, Circle of the Moon-derived Iconic racial for the Druid. Better yet, make the Druid iconic use Blightcaster, so I don't have to burn an LR heart to get the past lives I need or double up on Druid lives/figure out a carry build for something I hate. :p Rogues could get Arcane Trickster for an archetype maybe, but doing all of that is stretching it severely, unless the devs have been working over the last year on this stuff.

If a race is added, I'd expect something inexpensive to make relatively speaking, a variant on existing bodies and art. Another elf variant (half-drow, astral elf? someone jokingly referred to a werewolf elf too) or maybe Dwarf variant (Duergar would probably be popular). Genasi might be another relatively cheap and popular race to add. Or Kalashtar, in keeping with the Eberron origins of DDO. We've added Dhampir so a monster race isn't out of the question, though I'd expect something like a Kobold to be too much artwork to be added for free. Maybe Goblin?
