64 bit server delay

While this news is a let down for a lot of people, those of us on Cormyr will continue to enjoy the awesomeness of 64 bit tech.

Small, yet satisfying tada 🎉 moment for us that call Cormyr home server.

Have you people noticed the lack of threads about lag from Cormyr players?

64 bit severs can (and do) "partition" off public events like Night Revels, Crystal Cove etc... which eliminates associated lag. 🎉

Faster load times, no death by lag in raids, in fact the server is so smooth, we almost forgot how cluncky our old main servers were. (until we go back to prep for transfers):ROFLMAO:

This thread is my rebuttal to those that have ignored or "dissed" the server. ;)

My guild Chainmail has raid night today, and we'll be enjoying this game operating as it was intended to run.

🇺🇸Have a great July 4th America, 🎆🎉and Happy Canada Day🇨🇦

Magically Delicious
I have enjoyed playing on Cormyr the short visits that I do make, even with the higher ping being in the EU it still plays better than Argo for me and this makes the release of the new 64Bit servers even more exciting. Higher ping but less lag and smoother gameplay? Yes please!

I mean, I'm going to Shadowdale but Cormyr has helped make the decision NOT to go to Moonsea much easier!

Enjoy your raid night!

I played on Cormyr for a few months and I'm back to playing on Orien. For normal adventuring, I saw no difference between the servers.

I can't comment on the experience during raiding, since I haven't raided on Cormyr. I have had occasional issues with raids on Orien, mostly on weekends when more folks are on. Given the disparity in populations, it may be that Cormyr is fine for raids because it is less active, but I hope that the 64-bit servers will be less sensitive to population sizes when it comes to lag.

I am kind of wondering though, which complaints about lag on the forums are you talking about? Every time I look at the forums lately, the focus seems to be on the details of the transition process and/or rare loot concerns.

I imagine that Cormyr will be a fine server, as will the other 64-bit servers. The main reason I hear from folks not wanting to move to Cormyr is that they missed their chance to reserve names on that server. I reserved all my names on Cormyr when it first opened because I was uncertain what the plan was for the future. Ironically, my guild will be going to Thrane, so I will try to get my names there, too! Doesn't matter that much to me, but I will try nonetheless. If I don't get them, I will just pick something new.
