FOURTH UPDATE: Character won't log out....trying to reload from the launcher takes forever - now my character is unplayable it says, "Waiting for character to be saved" or something like that...

THIRD UPDATE: 7/21 10:01AM Can't interact with anything...

SECOND UPDATE: My guild is still complaining about lag on the airship

UPDATE: This seems to have resolved moments after posting this thread....

So far, and you can add to the list if needed:

The Portal to Eberron in Saltmarsh is not working
Vendors are slow
Guild Airships are unplayable between lag and navigation

replace your fire elemental?

or wait a few days until servers are less stressed because of all those transfers

Getting a lot of lag both in public areas and in quests, making it difficult to play. Just tried to help a noob guild member with The Butcher's Path and it was pretty much unplayable due to lag spikes.

7/22 Most of the lag I experience is from our guild ship. Super long time to log in, if the character is on the ship. Game-breaking lag while on the ship, almost impossible to leave. But once the character is back on the ground, things seem to run smoothly.

Yes, same. I am really surprised they didn't address the airship lag in the 74.1.1 release notes. Does that mean they don't have a fix in mind?

Much of the guild airship performance problems appear to be related to heavy things being done on them, including unpacking, storage transfer, amenity placement (which isn't that much, just a part of it), and other things. We have given guild airships dedicated space to operate, essentially, but as you note performance in there during peak population times in particular has been a concern. If necessary we have the ability to block access to the lower decks, which would mean people would only have access to their top decks, but there are reasons we don't want to do that unless necessary, including the inability for people to place amenities or use their amenities. It is a last option, however.

Is this presumably a thing that will quiet down after people are done with transfers, or are we talking too much load because of the higher traffic on each server?

This should quiet down as transfers get done.
@Cordovan it is 7/26. We have game ending lag in quests. Not just guildships. Currently my character hasn't been unable to move for over 15 minutes, but my XP potion is burning away. 64-bit servers were supposed to better not worse! Please prioritize game performance over transfers. Why on earth should I have to suffer while someone is bulk moving toons.

Que the transfers and unpacks to happen overnight. No more of this mid-day prime time '@#$.

This is beyond stupid and it's not related to transfers, that's been largely done and over with. Public instances get so bad that you can run forward only to start rubber banding and slowly get pulled backwards as it becomes obvious that the server complete ignored your movement. This is either bandwidth related or some sort of message queue being overloaded and just discarding random client updates.

More likely massive unpacks. It is not related to public area, though. It happens in quests, which I assume are a private instance.

This was in public and private alike. And those unpacks are done with. This lag has nothing to do with unpacks, it's due to the servers how having 800~1000+ players on them at prime time and the system itself either lacking resources or some internal component being overloaded.

Our ships elemental was last seen throwing bags of an odd-looking plant into himself, and just sitting in the smoke. Not really sure
what that was all about, but the turbulance slowed down, and he's been making noises like someone grilling a steak for three days.
