I've seen suggestions in some threads that Universal Trees should not even have T5, and I agree with that.
This way the trees could offer value without feeding into the fetishism of "the whole tree is entirely useless unless it has a good T5 or capstone."

Agreed...If you're going to go tier 5 and core 6 in a Universal tree, why even have classes?

No T5 and no Core 6 in universals sounds great.

But only when SSG fix the 20 or 30 really bad trees.

It would be better if they kept it at the d8 instead of nerfing it down to d6 and dropping it to 100% spell power.

lots of trees are only useable because they have t5's that make it worth while to use and very few trees actually have useful capstones plus the fact that multiclasses characters cant even get capstones in anything other than universal trees is why lots of people use universal trees to bridge that gap, and the whole reason inquisitor t5 was even picked so heavily was because of no holds barred which with its removed will probably see a lot more builds going into t5 in class trees instead besides inquisitor was a hold out as the other universal trees t5's are pretty bad, don't think i've ever seen anyone actually use t5 for a non inquisitor tree other than horizon walker and that's just because horizon walker has improved archers focus and if it didn't have that i doubt many would use t5 in horizon either.
