Adventure Pack Suggestions for Noob Ranger / Rogue?

Hello DDO Peeps,

I'm a level 16 Ranger / Rogue (12 / 4) and looking for an adventure pack to sink my teeth into that has a good return on experience and equipment. My guild allows group raids at level 20 and I'd like to be prepared. I've only played for free so far, just paying for extra space for equipment and a few little things here and there. But I'd like to see what the game has to offer beyond that.

So any suggestions? Much appreciated!

A question about adventure packs would get more answers in the General or New Player forums, because the build forums are generally read by fewer people (those who are looking for a build or posting one).

It's a tricky question. At your level, I think the most profitable Adventure Pack would be Gianthold or Vale of Twilight, because they're bigger than modern Adventure Packs and are good. And we have no idea whether there will be a free code this year or not.

Now, if you're looking to invest a little more, I would consider buying one or more expansions. Trove in particular has three very large expansions, and it would give you plenty of content to play the epic levels.

But oh, how hard it is for me to give good advice without knowing whether there will be a free code soon or not...

Although they are expansions (not standard adventure packs) you are in range for Masterminds of Sharn, and are roughly in range for Vecna Unleashed. Both have equipment you might find useful. Your preference might be to wait for a sale, particularly for Sharn since it is quite old now and has been known to go on a serious discount from time to time.

If you're looking for raids, however... what raids are your friends playing? Vale of Twilight has Vision of Destruction and Legendary Shroud, Hunt has a raid, and Legendary Tempest and Den of Vipers are free, but I think the rest of the raids are all from expansions...

I will check! I'm not sure since I haven't reached lvl 20 and haven't jumped on the discord server yet. Thanks!

I'm going to reference expansions .

I would say the DDO Expansion Trove first. Saltmarsh (because it's only $20), and Isle of Dread. You wallet will be your guide.

These go on sale from time to time though... so I'd wait if you can.

Page for adventure packs in the store and their DDO point costs here (some of these have updates that aren't referenced in the page):

Just from a practical point of view, get Keep on the Borderlands. It has fast mounts, and that's an incredible quality of life boost - unless you have the free mount already from last year, then never mind... :)

The Borderlands ingot weapons are also perfectly serviceable weapons for epic leveling, plus it has some nice early epic leveling gear too.
