It used to be you would do a quest 3 times and you'd get a list of all the items and raids was 20 times (this was very improved with runes! ++). Red fens is stil like this and I think so is stk and waterworks? There's even a / command telling you how many chain completions you have for this very purpose.Does anyone here know of another games implementing another way to distribute loot that does not involve %100 RNG mechanics?
If so, how did they do it?
Do you have any original ideas for doling out loot, to what you think seems fair?
But that was before the gacha monetization of the game. Now we're just doing whatever the most recent gacha trend is. Gacha is good in capturing whales and alienating everyone else but it's whales that are most important so there you have it. This isn't going to change unless it's to introduce even more rare "rare" loot named... I don't know, mythic is already taken. Then we'll have a battlepass introduced that increases your chances to get ultra turbo rare loot and stacks with potions of discovery to give you +1% of getting it.
Gotta capture those gambling addicts and introduce habbits to the kids man!
