Any DDO on linux folks here? Need help.

Well, I needed some assistance from one of my friends who -is- fairly familiar with Linux to get Lutris installed and going, and then he helped me with a command to copy all the huge .dat files from my PlayOnLinux attempt into the new Lutris attempt so I didn't have to spend 10 hours redownloading all of them...

And it works! It totally works! Logged in fine, loaded up character fine, entered into the game properly fine, it's all good! Lutris was the answer!

Why do I keep coming back to this game
For anyone who finds this thread in the future - I installed the latest (as of this post) Bazzite distro on an old laptop recently (i7-7700HQ, Nvidia GTX 1050), and using the Steam Proton compatibility layer (install DDO via steam basically) I can launch and play DDO normally. The store even opens and loads seemingly normal, which I didn't expect it to based on the DDOwiki post in the OG post.

Huzzah! Thanks for making this thread, bookmarked for later!

Also huzzah! If (when) I switch over to Linux, this is probably what I'll do. Also I think some Linux gamers use Heroic/Legendary to use Proton without the rest of Steam, but I have no idea if that would work for the OP.

Gotta admit, I would have cheated and went Steam with the Proton layer. I'm going to have to resurrect this project considering the success stories I'm reading.
