Any ETA on fixing boat lag

Doors don't transport, lots of freezing, etc etc.

This is the one major piece of lag that remains from the 64 bit server transfer time. It's pretty frustrating when you log in and can go nowhere, click on nothing and have to jump off the ship in order to leave (or teleport if you have the clickie, scrolls, etc).

I never have any problem there but a guildie often. Which makes me wonder a lot what causes it and what could prevent it.

I agree. Time to solve this issue, really.

Just forcefully eject everyone off the ship after it's been open for an hour. Send them to some remote location like siber Atol. To forcefully close and reset the instance so it won't stay open and draining resources for no reason. Or just y'know time out the confirmation screen on "do you want to quit" so people can't abuse that to keep a character logged in so they can have a pointless lfm open for recruitment.

I have a guild of two people. So most of the time, the ship is a new instance. Well technically we have 3 now as we recruited @Teh_Troll’s real life AI girlfriend. It’s odd, because he’s so Italian, I would have expected her to be Italian too. But I guess opposites attract!

It doesn't have anything to do with the instance staying open. I have a solo guild and it's awful for me right when I log in usually.

Public areas in general seem much worse compared to pre 64 bit servers. I took a 2 1/2 year break and when I came back the public area lag was MUCH worse. (in quest is better though :))

Reason why they dont fix the most blaring of Issues is because this game is no longer a Game, But a Business Asset... thats traded for the Money

That makes no sense. If people leave - and they do - due to these issues, it impacts the business. This game has always been a business.

Not really. When 100s of F2P leave, no one notices. When 10 VIP leave, no one cares.

When one whale leaves, SSG Accounting holds a WAKE (Whales Are Key Elements).

They didn’t hold a wake when I and three other whales left. So no.
