Any fix for a spinning screen?

Anyone please have any input or a fix for this..

When I play the game its fine, but after a few minutes my mouse view starts spinning. I dont have mouse look lock on ..That doesnt matter anyway.. I hold the right mouse button for looking around.

What happens is, after a few minutes the mouse look , holding right click.. acts super super sensitive.. almost like if you have a wireless mouse and the battery is dying or something..

My mouse is hard wired.. It is a Steel Series Rival 3 .

What I have done so far.
1. Reinstalled the game. Worked for a few minutes, then it spins.
2. Restarted the game.. it works fine a few minutes, then it spins.
3. Deleted mouse drivers, and reset mouse by holding left click right click cpi button for 5 seconds.. after a few minutes screen spins..
4. I plugged my key board and mouse into my lap top and played ddo on it... No issues at all.
5. Ive deleted dungeons dragons in the documents folder,, redid all my hotkeys.. same issues after a couple minutes.. screen spins..
6. bought new mouse , still same issue
7. disconnect key board.. same issue
8. reverted to old video driver that I updated today.. just did this and waiting to see if any issues .. still issues..
9. Deleted Keyboard drivers... seeing if this helps.. nope doesnt help.
10. unbound every key , still doesnt work..

Im clueless right now. Im just about to wipe the entire computer lol.

Even when i try to look up with right click held down, the came may go down.. its like my mouse look is whacked out in game.

Here is a video where game works fine at first on the ship, then I have the video of my in madstone crater and screen is spinning.

Any ideas to fix this? It is extremely frustrating.

This feels like a hardware problem with the mouse. Something is locking in the mechanical details in response to something you are doing that eventually triggers the fault.

It doesn't happen right away because you need to enable the fault by using the mouse and hitting whatever is faulty causing it to eventually lock.

It could also be a problem with the USB port the mouse is plugged into. Try plugging it into a different port and see if the problem remains.

You might try turning off mouse acceleration in windows settings. If you have a game controller plugged in, unplug it. Are you running any 3rd party software the might mess with mouse?

Ive tried different ports.. It ends up the same way. Its always after a few minutes of me holding down right click to look around.

Whats weird is it doesnt do it on the laptop. I can try loading up another MMO that I use right click for mouse look and see if it does it with that game, But I highly doubt it.

Off the top of my head:

Do you have a controller attached?

unmap all camera controls in the keybindings (except the mouse control ones)
ill try that.. Ill let you know her ein a few.

EDIT.. loaded up game its spinning right away.. didnt even do anything yet.

If you've got a 2nd mouse laying around, try plugging it in and see if the issue persists or not.

Have you turned the mouse over and checked the mices' optical sensor is not covered by dirt and fluff? Optical sensors like those found on the Steelseries Rival 3 can be notoriously finnickey when fluff interferes with the light hitting the sensor, resulting in wild swings it thinks you are performing, when instead it is just the light the sensor is receiving is being scattered in multiple directions causing the hardware and software to think you're moving the mice wildly even when it is not being physically moved at all. Have a check there to make sure that is clear and try again to see if it's still doing that.

Nope, went to walmart got a second mouse, played game.. worked good for a couple minutes like always, then went spinning on me again.

Unplugged key board.. still spins..

Something I did notice is the sound from the DM narration get a little chopping when the screen spins.. Not sure if that has any relevence..

Only other thing I did recently is update my video driver today.. I have an Arc B580 video card. I can see if I can either revert back to older version and see if it happens, but woudlnt think that would affect the mouse and spinning.

Im really running out of ideas.. I have no other things plugged into my USB ports.. Just my mouse and key board.

Make sure any Power Settings is set to full power for the test, there's a possibility that the onboard system is trying to slow the GPU down or using less of it and then when it spins up, it detects varations because when it first started to output higher power to the GPU, it was at x seconds, and byt the time it has finished bringing it up to speed it re-runs a check of everything else and finds them all out of sync on local time, and decides to "catch up".

So yes, revert and make sure power settings is set to keep everything running at full power for the test to eliminate one or both of them as the cause.

Mouse settings.
keyboard settings.

Sticky keys/clicks?

Ease of access center.

Could be in any of those three locations.

Just from a quick search:
Mouse issues with the Intel Arc B580 typically involve cursor disappearance in browsers due to GPU acceleration, or stuttering/lag in games, often solvable by updating drivers to version 8132 or later. Other fixes include disabling hardware acceleration in Edge, removing extra controllers, or checking Windows 11 power settings.

Key Troubleshooting Steps for Arc B580 Mouse Issues:

Driver & Firmware Updates: Update to the latest Intel Arc graphics drivers (version 8132+), as these resolve performance issues and potential cursor bugs in games like CS2.
Browser Cursor Disappearing: If the cursor vanishes (e.g., in Microsoft Edge), disable "Use hardware acceleration when available" in the browser settings.
Game Stutter/Lag:
Remove Peripherals: Disconnect extra controllers (Xbox/PlayStation), joysticks, or extra mice, as these can interfere with mouse input.
Check ReBAR: Ensure Resizable BAR (ReBAR) is enabled in your BIOS, as it is required for optimal B580 performance.
System Settings:
Disable Power Saving: Turn off "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for USB controllers in Device Manager.
Disable Enhanced Pointer Precision: In Mouse Properties, turn off "Enhance pointer precision" to check if it helps with lag.
So I'd check mouse acceleration in window settings, in Mouse Properties turn off "Enhance pointer precision", etc. and see if any of those help.

Also, kill anything running the background, like anything in your taskbar background task stuff in lower right corner of windows/etc. In case some conflict there is happening.

Do you have your windows DPI/scaling set to anything other than 100%?
16) If you're getting weird game resolution settings, try changing your DPI:

compatibility mode > change high DPI settings and turn the 2 tick boxes on so that it allows DDO to set its own DPI scale instead of using windows one (this was in Windows 11, might be different in other versions of Windows)

or try this setting instead (as results for what setting works best may vary from system to system)

Those settings can mixed with this for various scaling options to make the launcher bigger (edit: this scale & layout setting can cause problems with the transfer wizard and characters names not being visible on it, setting it to 100% can fix that)

I have everything off. still just spins..

You know what this feels like.. Lets say your dead center.. and if you move the mouse slightly to the right, your cameral moves slightly to right.. say in 1 increment, same goes for any direction.. But this seems like.. the setting is at 100%.. so if you moved the mouse in any direction 1 increment, its like it moves it 100 increments. Its like mouse sensitivy is at 100000%
Its weird that the game doesnt start off like that.. its only after I start up game and move around for a minute or so..

Im gonna try that DPI thing the other guy just posted.. see if that works... so crazy this is happening out of no where.
