Any fix for a spinning screen?

I have this problem too. Usually it's only when I have Dungeon Helper on and/or dual boxing.
I think if I log into multiple accounts too fast the auto follow causes this issue.

Do you have your windows DPI/scaling set to anything other than 100%?
No I didnt touch the DPI scaling, but I just did the first part of that

compatibility mode > change high DPI settings and turn the 2 tick boxes on so that it allows DDO to set its own DPI scale instead of using windows one (this was in Windows 11, might be different in other versions of Windows)

Those two pictures.. I didnt do the rest of the stuff below that.. So far so good..im in a dungeon moving my mouse around, jumping, moving, casting.. using right mouse to look around.. trying to make it spin or act crazy... and so far its holding up..

Now the question is.. Why would this have any effect on my mouse look spinning?

It effects mice in general. Where DDO thinks your mouse location is different than where Windows thinks your mouse is; conflicts like that can be problematic. I wouldn't have guessed spinning as a result, but I was just tossing out suggestions for anything the could effect mouse stuff in-game.

I know occasionally my DPI stuff gets changed by video driver updates. So hopefully that holds up solving your issue. Or it'll be back to tossing out suggestions of more things to try.

This exact thing happened to me at one point and it turned out to be the mousing surface. The mouse pad I was using had some kind of logo on it that would make the mouse freak out from time to time. A new mouse pad fixed the issue.

I cant thank you enough. I will see how it plays tomorrow. I didnt get a chance to see long term if it fixed it for sure, but I will get a chance again tomorrow.
Thank you for the help

Had the same problem for a while and I strongly doubt yours is related to DPI settings.

In my case it was a software issue: the Logitech program that came with my G13 keyboard (on that keyboard every key is in fact programable, even if you program it to just send "Z"). In theory anything that sends or intercepts keystrokes bears the same risk: Logitech or Cherry software that came with your keyboard, Autohotkey, SuperF4, your motherboard software, DungeonHelper, Foobar extensions for remote control, a program for the buttons on your Razor mouse, programs to control your streaming software, even the build in shortcuts in Windows for the Gamebar, ...

The true cause I could never assess, but it seems related to lag: as if some program at some point registered that you began a sideways movement (no matter how tiny), but didn't register that you stopped it ... and therefore keeps you spinning around. And since DDO is so lag-prone and has an engine that puzzles and bewonders even PCP-addicts, it's bound to show up in DDO but nowhere else.

Quickly bringing the game out of focus always stopped the spinning, either a quick click on the dekstop if you're windowed or an alt+tab when full screen.

Is your mouse being edge-locked? If you're in windowed or full-windowed, there's a setting that makes the screen edge a bit sticky. If your mouse gets dragged and stuck there, it can spin the view around endlessly.

I haven't had to turn the sticky feature off in a very long time, so I can't rattle off how to do it, but that it's a potential might give you something to hunt down and check.

You could try a simple mouse (another one not the same as the one you are having trouble with). If it persists its not the mouse. If it goes away then its the mouse/mouse software. Simple process of elimination.

Has happened to me, I usually just ALT Tab out of DDO to desktop or other program and then Alt Tab back, spinning stops
