Arcane Archer dice vs Imbue at Endgame

Hey all

In my ongoing effort to ask questions about the game that three year olds can probably figure out quicker than i can-

For endgame, how do AA dice (scaling with spellpower) match up vs Imbue (scaling with ranged) .
Basically trying to figure out should I build towards spellpower going full Ranger, or add in a few levels of DL to get 200% Imbue dice.

Yes, I suck at math stuff.
Thanks!

AA dice are Imbue dice (except for the first one, AKA the "toggle" which is the same for every Imbue out there) every tier above the first in AA can add either a different element for Imbue or add 2 Imbue dice. The "toggle" is what sets the damage type and damage per Imbue dice (1d4 to 1d12, depending on the toggle).

Basically, anything that adds Imbue dice works with whatever Imbue you have toggled on and all those dice scale based on whatever the toggle is (ie. AA are based off SP and Envenomed Blades are based off MP/RP).

It all comes down to what you can get higher...SP or 100%/200% MP/RP. This will largely depend on you build and gear.

Thanks! That exactly answers my question , unfortunately I asked the wrong question.

- Meant more of "do people gear for spellpower" . It seems relatively easy to get around 500 (without using filigrees) but it seems like RP is just so much easier to gear for, and RP works for all the rest of your attacks...

Curious if there's any advantage to building for the SP dice rather than RP. (Other than not having to multiclass to get the RP dice)

you can get much higher SP, imbue builds can get in the range of 1000-1500 SP (depending on class and whether you're bursting), while RP doesn't scale nearly as high (less than half)

Really? Seems like that would be high on a Ranger, but thanks! I'm obviously missing some stuff. I'll take another look.

Thanks!
