Are pet augments still broken?

Pets and old hirelings are deprecated content.

They take too much work to fix. That time and money investment can't be justified unless they can sell it.

Maybe one day they make a summoner archetype, that could warrant a full overhaul.

They could slap 10 PRR/MRR/to hit/damage per character level on pets and they would become mediocre. That would only take them maybe a day to do.

Devs don't seem to realize/don't want to admit that AI is the problem with hirelings/pets/summons. Giving DH puppies auto-search doesn't stop them from charging into the traps, or mobs, or lava.

The legendary werewolf from the whistle hits hard, ~500 a hit, but spends 90% of his life trying to get into position to take a swipe.

The lv 30 summons from primal avatar are the only decent ones because they have short duration/cooldowns and can't move lol

I still find the Djinni from MS VII to be quite valuable. It goes ethereal pretty quickly because of low HP but still holds aggro until it comes back and is 'killed' again (and often even after that.) Use the poor AI to your advantage whenever you can. I use it often in LE content with a ranged build to increase my longevity.

It's similar to how people who follow the loopholes in tax laws pay less in taxes. Is it right??? I don't know but following the rules is what people are supposed to do until rules change (sadly the people who make the rules are not the best and brightest). Good line from "The Untouchables" about that.

That is some good thinking about the djinn.

I have some sad news about taxes though. They ARE written by the best and brightest corporate lawyers big money can muster.

No they are not working. Pets are more dead than dandok's monster manual

I just run some favour farming at level 32 so I thought I will have some fun with the level 20 fighter hireling...



This was her damage, mostly did around 60. With druid PL, augment summoning, ship buff and 12 levels of epic buff...
