Armor for Sorc

Fire sorc with ruin/Gruin.

What is more optimal, wear medium armor from eldritch knight or stick with light armor (or cloth) and get evasion from shadow dancer?
Is there a specific armor people would recommend for a fire nuker/GRuin?

I usually solo and have 50+ reaper points.

Can you get your Reflex saves high enough to make Evasion useful? If not, go for higher MRR from medium armor and possibly a heavy shield.

Light armor (red dscale) evasion. My reflex is around 85 unbuffed (thank you, Dark Gift: Echoing Soul). PRR is high 200s. MRR capped.

The only downside atm is fortification and I'm now being crit regularly in chill. Unfortunately, there hasn't been good options out of recent content that would justify revamping my gear.

Simple approach: 3pc Flamecleansed Fury.

Complex approach but higher ceiling: Myth Drannor and Chill of Ravenloft gear with Elder's Knowledge 2pc.

Esoteric set from Sharn for heroic and epic is relatively easy to get and tough to beat.
Leaving it easy to build around.

BForged Adamantine armor and tower shield, nuker. . I wait til level 20 then feat swap a toughness i picked up at first level to adamantine, you dont need Tower Shield proficiency. Use sentient weapon, BF and eldritch knight enhancements to get zero ASF. Get reconstruct spell, don't waste points in BF tree, less you have them to burn. 41 in Fire Savant, or whatever element you are doing. 25 in EDK. Enough in vistani for first arrow deflect, Enough in feydark to get color spray. The rest of feats in typical nuker things, like wellspring, ruin x2, max, empower,increased crit damage, etc... Easy R6 solos. R10s i use more instakills and CC then anything else, dps is "ok". I have 5 racial and 3 universal enhancement points for mine, and it was enough. Yes I used a +1 heart for final build.

Armored Arcana: You gain proficiency in Medium Armor, and you no longer suffer Arcane Spell Failure from Light Armor, Medium Armor or Mithral Body

Sorcs have access to Eldritch Knight, which provides them proficiency with medium armor. For a fire sorc, Sharn's Flamecleansed Fury is an excellent set to start with. Draconic T5, with Exalted Angel and Primal Avatar. Has some nice heals and healing lore already built into the gear.

Medium for EK sorcs is usually best.
Max dps sorcs will typically stick to cloth for fast swapping and wont go into EK anyway.
Personally I like the light armor falconry build.

All are viable IMO.
