Assassinate build questions (dark hunter/rogue sdk iconic)

I am interested in geting some use out of my vecna gaunts and boots, which have the highest total assassinate bonus you can get from pure gear.

Looking to dualwield (something?) with max use of that assassinate skill. Want to dh (love the class), and rogue (3 more bonus assassinate).

However, I am not terribly interested in sneaking around.

I am not entirely sure what this would look like! kta for int dam/tohit? (falconry at all?)? dark hunter enhancement skills of some sort. Tempest? VKF?

If I don't want to use sneak at all, would pure dh be better, with ranged assassinate from t5 falconry, and dump a lot into vkf, harper, tempest, with just enough dh enh to get the "good" stuff?

No matter what, will be sdk iconic, even if it means +1 heart.

If you aren't going to sneak around, assassinate would seem to be out so going with what ever makes falconry work for you would be better. If you are going to sneak just enough to trigger assassinate (from either DH or Assassin tree), then you are missing out +5 to your DC by not going with Measure the Foe. If you are going to sneak enough to Measure the Foe, then you are sneaking.

So with "no" to sneak, I would go with falconry to use those assassinate bonii and maybe then Monk to use with Quivering Palm? Since you want to use SDK maybe a kama or dagger monk to work with chains?

Why is rogue 3 more to bonus assassinate? Where are you getting that? Falconry gives 3.

DH, assassin and falconry all have their death attacks in tier5. Only monk QP (mentioned above) has a death attack not within an AP tree.

Like Ahpuch says you need to go by monk and falconry. The other bizarre option would be to do 5 rogue/15 monk, take tier 5 assassin. You would sneak for MtF stacks and have a stealth assassinate (with a low DC) while also having QP. But you don’t want to sneak.

You are correct saekee, I was thinking +3 imbue dice. The monk thing seems pretty cool. Dual wielding centered kukri/dagger?

I love falconry. I think an assassinate (qp) monk with t5 falconry (melee assassinate, +wis bonus) could be cool!
