ATR and the upcoming caster pass

It's gutted. If the spell were doing an op dps, then would be a haircut. But when the dps is meh, a nerf means gutted spell.

Do devs know how bad are the spells nowadays?

When they play their Inquis toons they see Sorc clearing mob packs in their R1 pugs and get jelly.

But now they are bored of Inquis they are all switching to Monks.

No xd.it isn't the same. With maximice nerfed and
True, but if you join the club, you can wear a cute ear-hat.

IMHO, the (and their) entire problem with casters is the way caster's strong AE incentivizes players to zoom & boom. They tried red alert. It doesn't much work because it's a hack, not a solution. This particular change makes the probem (the reason for an AE nerf) worse, not better. Overall weaker AE makes it even more important to stack the pack.

They need to hit the root of the problem and that's unlimited targets in AE. As long as it pays to pile them sky high, we will find a way to do it. Add a hard 6-count limit on AE with some nice strong damage and we stop herding massive packs and start killing as we go because there is no more benefit to big packs.

Really I feel not including ATR in Master of Force is a mistake.
I get it that it is the strongest single target dps caster (not a surprise when you give a caster tools focused around single target damage while refusing to build single target scaling for older casters) and arguably overpowered but penalizing them out of a major scaling lever for all dps casters going forward is kinda arbitrary and when/if other casters finally have the tools to catch up it becomes a blatant pain point of the archetype.

If they allowed them to take master of force, they'd probably end up nerf'ing ambush to something like 75% damage scaling.

The thing is its not like master of force would be any stronger on ATR than it is on any other caster, its still a once per cast trigger for each feat and ATR is perhaps the most epic feat constrained caster due to wanting all metas and sneak dice feats for their scaling.

Arcane Trickster, most builds for it, has plenty of feats. You can basically ignore spell DC feats, since your main damage spells do not need DC, and your CC spells scale off of Disable Device (Soundburst & Greater Shout). On my Trickster lives, I took 3x SWF heroic feats just for the HP, had all but one metamagic, took zero spell focus feats, had all of my spell power epic feats, really plenty of feats overall).

Sorc / Druid needs evocation spell focus feats and they do not get bonus feats.
