I watched some of your videos. Nicely done.
One question: You do everything on Normal, Hard, and then only record Elite?
Don't you feel that doing 3 times in a row all quests is a bit of a grind for a new player?
I wonder if playing only on Normal (and maybe some on Hard/Elite), you can get enough XP to progress all the way to 20.
Of course, the importance of Favor, especially for f2p accounts, should be a video by itself.
Perhaps on a video, you should discuss what the first Adventure Pack a f2p player should get.

Yes, I started to about halfway through the series. At lower levels I only had to do Normal/Hard, or just Normal. Some I did on Elite for the favor (house K quests). But I started to later on for everything as I began to need the XP since f2p quests get more scarce as you level.
Yes, it is. But having restrictions and barriers for quest entry is by design to encourage players to pay for the game. Which is fair, IMO, DDO has to make money. But repeating quests is unavoidable in order to level is required as free to play. You won't have enough XP to level without repeating if limited to free content only. It will be way better 2nd life, if a f2p player gets there since you can open Hard but keep the same XP curve now.
Not really, if restricted to only free to play quests. With VIP or if you claimed one of the free quest codes when they were available you definitely could. You could of course just repeat more as free to play and just stick to normal/hard if you wanted but it'd be very grindy at certain levels, it's already a bit grindy doing elite. I had to start repeating some quests atleast once as early as the Harbor to keep myself at 2 levels over base level.
I've talked about it a fair deal in the series iirc.
I did do a video on this years ago, but it's a bit out of date now. It depends a lot on if they plan to TR at level 20 or not.
I meant running the quest once on Normal.
From what I remember, the barrier hits around level 10.
I started f2p some years ago, and remember that I got stuck around level 10, feeling it is a grind. I was Lucky to get discounts and got with DDO points giant hold and demon sands.
I had to mine the servers to buy the packets. But it was all in the good fun
.After with these two packets I think I reached lvl 20 and got to the next barrier... No epic progression. There I found on money discount the 2 FR expansions and become premium.
