I'm having trouble figuring out what feats to take as a for-funsies Ninja Spy.

There's three lots of 2-Weapon Fighting, at levels 3, 9, and 15.
Improved Critical: Piercing at level 12.

But what else?

Should I load up on Toughnesseses for everything else?

For fun—for sneaking around, playing a bit, not worrying about endgame? Go all-in on Dex, drow for free shuriken expertise; then at least do the feats Precision, dodge, mobility, whirlwind; IC slash is if doing kukris, kamas or long swords.

If you want to do a long sword ninja then do Elf with free long sword proficiency, then weapon focus slash, Whirling Steel Strike, Knight’s Training.

If you want to do kamas you would take Swords to Plowshares (Kamas if you have some Brush hooks). They will cost you a feat and not give you much for the trouble.

If doing Short swords then IC pierce.

There are good named items with boosted crit ranges in short swords, long swords, daggers (Vistani)—the heroic long sword is easy to get (Relic of a SP).

What are your goals with this?

Shortswords, mainly.

Dragon Disciple Monks get Magical Training, which is a prerequisite for the Feydark Illusionist enhancement tree, so if I get bored of regular shortswords I might play around with dual wielding some Shadowblades.

I've gone Dex-based and Shadar-Kai for mine, since the Whirling Chain AoE attacks synergise with having Shortswords as the main weapon choice.

My Feat list is: 3x TWF, IC: Pierce, OC, Imp Martial Arts, PTWF, Embodiment of Law, Scion of the Ethereal

A few defensive choices as well: Dodge, Mobility, Epic DR, Deific Warding, Titan's Blood

This leaves a few gaps, so I'm trying to shoehorn in Shurikens as well - Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, Precise Shot, Combat Archery, Shuriken Expertise, 10K Stars, Doubleshot

Quickdraw I'm planning via the Topaz Augment, and find a decent Shuriken with Keen so I don't need IC: Ranged.

i can recomend going for the shadow blades early if you go for that. you might want to swap to regular shortswords for iron golems and one other type of mob that heals from force damage wich are very few and far apart. otherwise they are just about as good of a weapon you can get that goes through pretty much all the damage resistances. very usefull for skeletons, zombies and oozes do not split. it is the best alternative imo untill you get sentient weapons and such.

Ive never gone Ninja Spy and have always wanted to. If I did Id want shortswords but I think the only good ones I have are Celestia and something from raids, so have no clue what to take til then.

Maybe go dagger VKF and redo enhancements at 23 ?

1-10 I used whatever Shortswords I could find. AH, chest pulls, the main concern was to just make sure they had the best enhancement bonus I could get my hands on and access to Ghost Touch in some form.

I then levelled using the various 'pack' shortswords - Barovia at level 10, Syrianan at 15 from Sharn, and then the Epic Ethereal Sswords in Keep on the Borderlands at 20 (debatable upgrade, but opens up Sentient Gem access).

At 28 I equipped a pair of Morninglords' Shortswords to take me to 34.

My Ninja-Spy build focused on using the NS Flash Bomb and the Shadar-Kai Whirling Chain attacks. Shortswords came more into use once I had the Tier 5 Ninja-Spy enhancements and GTWF/IC much more, particularly for Red-named DPS. Quivering Palm and Touch of Death added a good degree extra button pushing on the Monk, and even though I'd gone 17AP in SDK for the chains, I was still able to get NS Capstone along with the Wis Trance from HM and the Healing Hands from Shintao (eventually).

I'm about to ITR to a Dragon Disciple build, but my Ninja-Spy was a lot of fun playing around with Assassinate DCs and I found it fairly effective in the content I ran - R1s to level, some LFM PUG raiding. I might return to it one day to do a 'push' build and see how far it will go in Reapers...

Does Quivering Palm and TWF mean you get 2 hits, the way Assassinate does? Or is it only a single target?
Ive tried with Handwraps many times but never been able to hit more than one target.
