I don't like the combat system at all. It looks like its 5th or something, and I abhor 5th. Very much a 3.5 kind of person.

Which is sad, because this looks like Spelljammer, and I love me some Spelljammer!

That's because the game is based entirely on 5E. I love 3.5 as much as the next person, but in a format like this it's much, much, much less complicated to do 5E instead of 3.5. Pathfinder did good, but the two games are notoriously hard for newer players due to the complex ruleset.

I have Solasta, I don't care for it. I had early access to BG3 for a month it wasn't even playable, but now I like what I see.

no other game will replace the real time combat we have here, but BG3, will be enough for me to leave this game.

Since I've tried to avoid going into BG3 too much at the moment beyond getting a feel for it I've mainly been introduced to 5E through Solasta & have enjoyed that a lot, it's much simpler to work with for the turn based system & then taking into account Larian's use of environmental & elemental effects etc. that they used in the DoS games it's going to be sufficiently complicated already i think.

For those who have playtested it, is it actually Spelljammer?

Someone mentioned 4 player coop. Is there any sort of portal where you can hook up with pugs?

When BG3 launches, I won't be playing anything else for several months, maybe even years,. I've been waiting for that game since 2007-2008, which was the last time I played the earlier games or their expansions.

I've tried to spoil myself as little as possible during the years, but now that the official launch date is getting closer, I've been hyping myself with some discussions, character creation videos, panels etc. I've also been binge-watching Critical Role campaign 2 episodes while trying to keep up with campaign 3, so I'm very happy that Matt is going to be the VO for Minsc :).

I'm hard-pressed not to buy the early access just so I can play with the character creation system for hourssss before starting the actual game. Also because I'm on a holiday now, and I know that if I get the game now, that's all I'm going to spend my summer days with, lol.
