Bank build

Hey folks,
I'm on the hunt for a toon that really excels at banking. You know, a true "Bank Build." The kind of character that can carry the weight of the entire server's loot with ease, balance their checkbook (if they had one), and maybe even give the bank guards a run for their money.
If you’ve got the skills to create a character who’s not just about damage or charm but about pure, unadulterated banking prowess, I want to see it! Bonus points if they can also trade a few gold pieces along the way.
Let’s see your best bank-tastic toons!
Cheers!

I predict a dex-based halfling to appear here.

honestly you want to have it do more than just hold stuff—Str based with Kundarak favor—but maybe have it be your crafter, for example, so build around that. The secondary and tertiary functions require more thought

I usually pick a Human Rogue with the highest CHA possible and then choose anything that boosts haggle. I doubt it makes any real difference, but it's what I do.

Haggle bard with a level of barbarian for run speed?
This. Just roll a tiefling scoundrel with 1 barb level for 24% run speed. You get DDoor, self heals, songs, and AOE. More than enough to farm the 150 coinlord and house k favor. I've done a bard for nearly all my bank toons. Maybe the only thing thats faster is trailblazer monk with leaps.

Any bank toon that takes more effort than creating it is too much for me. If I need more space I make another one.

A toon you transfered from an old sever you haven't looked at in over 10 years and you take one look at it and go ***?! BANK TOON!!!!!!!

Max-CHA Hagglebot with high run speed. Iconics make this easy for landing on a new server. E.g. Scoundrel bard 13 barbarian 1 Favored Soul 1. I'd go SWF Warchanter for questing; here's a starter AP spread.

Though if you're really trying to max Haggle, splash sorcerer and Dragonlord instead. You can pickup +15 Haggle for 16 APs, but they're spread between 4 trees which really limits your build options. Fortunately one of them is Dragonlord so making a melee DPS build isn't hard.

Start a guild, use dummy accounts to make it 6 user accounts in it, level until it is 75 so you then have 4X 60 slot guild chests, 1X 50 slot hold chest, 1x 20 slot hold chest. This only works for unbound items.

I keep my main as my crafter so I dont have to spend more ingredients to make items Unbound. Just a thought.

I don't really see the point of having a character with a lot of Haggle for a bank build.

Just make a build that can earn 150 Coin Lords Favor for the two extra inventory tabs, and 150 House Kundarak Favor for the +40 bank slots. You'll also earn a few extra DDO Points for your account along the way.

That's it. Rinse and repeat with as many bank characters as you want.

Pro tip: If you have a high-level character on a secondary account, the only thing your bank build really needs is to be able to move fast.

most of my bank toons were iconic tiefling scoundrel.
  • Spellsingers (30pts ) SLA sonic damage is enough to clear rooms.
  • Swash (7pt) Runspeed
  • Warchanter (8pt) Sprint Action boost
  • iconic gear is updated and good enough for Coinlord and House K faction run so no need to twink
  • naturally a CHA toon.
Other option is choasmancer Iconic Air spec.
  • I tossed a firestorm conduit just to make sure it only took 1 or 2 casts for every pack to die in the bank but everything else gear wise is fine
  • Chain lighting/Fireball faceroll & Wind dance vs bard sprint and runspeed is about a wash.

Either of their builds you could toss a barb level for runspeed, but I wouldnt want to lose a caster level for it, each to thier own.

Lately, I've become MUCH more of a fan of using 100% pure auto-leveled iconics for bank mules rather than hand-crafting something, running it through coin+bank favor, then parking.

Why? One click and done: 5m total to have it standing at a bank ready to store things. It's more useful to have mules labeled by source than a fat mismash to paw through; eg. "MuleOne Barovia", "MuleTwo Lamordia", etc..

Deep Gnome Wizard: born with teleport. Exit instance, teleport to bank, done. I like parking each mule at the expansion's bank for which it stores gear as an extra reminder in case I get too cute with the last name.

Eladrin Wildmage: also born with teleport (or easy to swap it in). Exit instance, teleport to bank, done. BUT, it has T5 Air Tree available for zippy favoring if you should so desire.

Tiefling Scoundrel: no teleport, but it exits right next to Sharn Bank. Can be rigged for high runspeed and INQ or SS for zippy favoring after the one-button levelup if you desire.

MINIMALIST BUILD FOR BTA ITEMS

The main point is TO KEEP. For this, you need STR. Any Level 1 is absolutely fine, as vendor trash is either sold immediatelly by my main or left in ship chests for my crafter.

And what I want to keep, I do KEEP. No running around with it, just log in, drag to shared bank, log out. No point to invest energy into Coin Lords or Kundarak favor, as it is faster to make a new banker or buy additional space during occassional insane discounts.

MINIMALIST BUILD FOR NON BOUND ITEMS
Anything. Any alt account.

NOTE: Older 20+ toons I don't play, I simply stuff with my garbage, TR them and start refilling them with fresh garbage.
