New to this quest.

I don't know how many times I went in and out that dimension door trying to figure out how to get that barrier down after picking up the dog.

Eventually watched a video - just stand by the door. Why is there a gem on the floor like you should pull a lever or something?
A pressure plate or something like that would have been more intuitive.

Anyway, at least I found a solution for that... until, with "3" canyons left to clear, a barrier will not open.
Is there a trick to this? I'm not sure how to proceed.

There is the metal-look "line" with the gem before the door. You must make the dog cross it (i.e. pretty much just stand by the door and wait for the dog).

The 'trick' as it were is the hound has to get close to the barrier for it to drop.

Yeah, a pressure plate or lever would have been more intuitive.

Just ran through on Normal, then it worked. Unsure why it was broken the first time around.
Not a fan of the quest though, I like the idea, but it feels a bit empty.

My assumptions why it was broken:
1. Something phased into a wall
2. A monster came through the barrier while it was up and broke the flow.
3. Follower breaking something

People often run thru a canyon without updating the "clear the canyon" obj

Also, if there is a delay for the dog getting to you, you can walk back and forth pressed against the barrier to get him closer.

This is one of those quests "Let's see how pointlessly long we can make a quest for no reason whatsoever".

A shame for the art department because the glass desert mournlands was an amazing look for me.
