I am trying to return to this game but hardly anyone wants to guide. This server is Full of Zerger's some will help but many that are left are the one's who don't care to help. And I bought too much content too know where every quest is. there is also a massive Communication barrier cause Voice chat is no longer used. it's absolutely overwhelming and frustrating by the time I find out where the party is they are already recalling so there's 0 chance to find out how to get to the end chest... I need all named loot from everywhere I have 24 characters. 80%+ of the groups don't care if you get Loot even..
Look I used to Zerg better then the best of you I broke W/p weapons. they changed the whole mechanic because of me. I was duel weilding w/p rapiers on a rage crit barb. mobs that took 2 minutes for fully geared out player's to kill took me 13-15 seconds. L.f.m.'s were more precise they needed certain classes but there was always room for a dual weilding rage crit barb with w/p rapiers lol (Hurtzz of Sarlona) Nothing will ever come close to the dps I dished out 10+ years ago at lvl 13. I tradded all my loot I had "constantly ransacking quests like Wiz king 1k+ times" I mainly made so many other characters so I can loot the top lootable quests whenever I wanted I also tradded ML 10 top 4 weapons paralyzer.vorpal,smitter,banisher that got intruduced during whisperdoom. including a 1 of 1 charisma stat damaging kukri that was dropped during a dev event for the rapiers so I paid dearly for being that powerful But now I need help from all the players I once was happy to help. Helping players like me is very beneficial to the game cause i'll be patient with other player's and teach them what I know making them feel welcomed to stay thus improving the chance of creating another customer for the company so the game can get even better.

actually Now that I gave it better thought I wasn't better. we never dished out even 1k damage attacks back then. some players are hitting Million's now. I hold my tongue. the old mechanic was when you rendered a mob to 0 con it dies. so while everyone had to shave down 2k+ hp I had to shave down only 20+ con critting with rolls of 13. it was cap at the time and it took 10-15 seconds to kill the strongest mob's bosses weren't affected by this so I was like everyone else for them.

The Company simply needs a more helpful community, It will not and Can not Survive only on Zerger's I was just explaining how I been doing it far before most of them and got a little carried away. I'm sorry it offended you,but I changed I plan to get quests done fast and help player's they already Merged server's what can they do next?

I'm intrigued how you thought "it offended" me? I pointed out that you've zerged in the past, and probably people running with you thought the same way that they couldn't get the loot, when you ended. So if it "triggered" you, be calm - this is a safe space.

It's always nice to see some people return and think that they invented zerging, especially when a lot of the player base is 40 years+, and the oldest player I've encountered is 91 (who used to zerg when he was 88-89).

But on a more serious note, start at the beginning. It's babysteps once more. Make posts that say on the LFM that you are flower sniffing - no zerg. Sometimes that's the only way to learn, if you can't keep up with the modern zergers.

And no, i got the whole point of your post. You were complaining about people zerging and not waiting for you to loot, then you were telling others that you used to zerg too. But if that's the case, then wasn't the people you zerged with frustrated with you not waiting for them to loot in times long past?

The main synopsis is, " But now I need help from all the players I once was happy to help. The other is, a lot of people already do the whole teaching of other players too. Go on the discords, learn, participate. As I said on my previous post (which you obviously missed as you didn't respond to it - see that's not an assumption), " It's babysteps once more. Look around a bit, Hurtzz. You will find those people. There are some guilds that advertised already like Tyrs Palladium, Twilight Avengers, Outlaws Incorporated, Magefire Cannon, Crit Happens or The Casual Obsession. Additionally you can have a look here.
I think Thrane does have an ingame chat named Titan, too. If so, those people might be able to give some tips and help out.
The classic thing to do is write a tell to the group leader and ask if a returning slower player can join.

Look I have no time for this.Give advice then that's cool otherwise you are just pushing returning and New players out the door and trust me that can only continue for so much longer. I have looked on youtube and on wiki and now i am on forum's only so much is covered on this game.

Thank you Titus this is the Advice I was looking for. I am not sure how far flower sniffing LFM's will go.

You spent the first 2 of 20 years playing the game and return 18 years later. Its a new game, its truly like you never played, and not one of the 24 characters are anything but a starter toon.

So you are a new player, welcome! Came in hot, fiery hot Zavina was pretty tolerant IMO. With the server merge there are a lot of players on line at any one time. Lets say 600 per server. 580 of them are more experienced and have better toons than you do atm. Give yourself some time and post some beginner level Elite or may R1 runs and take your time learning a new game.

Also while welcome, most of the 580 are not invested in new players and many like me will disagree that the handful are a tipping point for the game. Every new player added in the next 3 years wont add 2 months to the end of the games closing date.

otherwise you are just pushing returning and New players out the door and trust me that can only continue for so much longer.

I don't see how highlighting your zerg attitude is "pushing returning & new players out the door". (Have you tried investing skill points in diplomacy?).

As for looking on youtube and ddo wiki, have you tried discord?

Be prepared to adapt to the "running on Pot economy". It is hard, but don't expect peeps to slowdown when they are burning EXP pots.

My best advice is to take it on your own pace, find a build that fits your playstyle, learn the content you don't know and after sometime you will be blasting.

For incredible it might be, DDO still the best D&D MMORpg in the market.
