Best (or Good) in Slot Progression Charts for leveling builds

I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering if something like this existed already,

But basically, I'm thinking of a spreadsheet that lays out a typical build (say 2HF Dragon Lord) and then gives a best in slot (or good in slot) suggestion for each item slot.

So something like:
Hands: (2) Nicked Greatsword -> (4) Carnifex ->(10) Sword of Shadows -> (20) Epic Sword of Shadows
Helmet: (5) Crown of Snow -->

etc.

Does anyone know if this already exists? I see lots of end-state builds, but not a lot of ones that describe item changes while leveling.

What is best?!? I guess you could go on what is "best" based on statistics alone, but even that is situational and subjective to the end user.
As an example: The Ranged chart that Mesmerin posted is specific to DEX builds. I generally build my ranged toons around INT. Maybe these items are not as good for that style of build, but I suspect there is still some gold in them thar hills and worthy of a look-see.
That being said, I always enjoy looking at suggestions on items for builds! ?

For leveling I would not worry too much about "best".

Good enough is all you need to level.

I use a cannith crafted set at level 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20. Then at level 29/30 I worry about best in slot for end game for my build.

My cannith crafted set is made to be pretty generic and works well for melee and ranged. PLaying casters requires a few changes.

Some get a full feywild set at level 5 and play that until 20, swap to a full epic saltmarsh set until 30 and then swap to their end game gear.

Anyone have anything like this for legendary? A template to use for decent round of reaper xp before tring on a melee/ranged/caster with minimal tinkering to fit for different builds.

I am thinking about this from time to time and the only thing I came up with were some categories:

melee:
THF - TWF - SWF - S&B
and then stats related

ranged:
Thrown - Bow - XCross - Reapeater
stats related

caster:
dps - dc - support
stat related

misc:
debuffer - xyz - 123
stats related

I never did more because I didn't have the time. But it would be a great project.

Best gearset(s) will maximize the minimal use of bankspace and time. So you COULD swap gear every level to maximize, or every four levels (like 5-10-15-20-cap), but it is funner to boast in game at level 16 that you are still wearing your lowbie ML 5 gearset.

Just remember that if you mention gear in a party chat, people will start posting links in chat to their stuff (usually they start with the weapon or a finely reaper-boosted item); then, due to the inherent qualities of such mancircles, things devolve.

I have my general leveling gear set for any melee/range build. Need a little modification for diff builds (like ranged need a head slot for setbonus from lvl 15 and cannot use crown of Butterflies for example, or need to adjust gear for main stat etc but I've done Int/Wis/Cha/Str based builds with these sets from lvl3 till cap.

I used the link Mesmerin posted above and also use Selvera's heroic leveling gearset to create mine and tryed to keep updated since.

I think the 1-29 has been covered quite well but my additional question was if anyone has made something similar to playing at cap. With the caption of this thread in mind, having a few general sets to run a few sagas/mid-to-high reapers at cap before tring again. I find that to be the biggest hassle.

Endgame is a different story because the gearset varies build to build. It cannot be generalised as easy as the leveling gear.
But if you dont want to min max the gear and your build and dont plan to run r4 + quests there are some basic stuff you can wear every life.

Goal is not to be optimal but have decent enough sets to solo R1-4 and do R6-8 in a group just to farm out saga xp/cards and reaper xp for a few days before tring again.
