1) Put 0 enchantment points in Dark Apostate tree.
2) Play DA only if You have to.
3) Mix it with some other class that is enough OP to make you feel better
I still hold that Dark Apostate is just better leveling Cleric, because you can just go Divine Disciple and have undead immunities. If only there was a reason to actually do anything as that class besides TR when you get to cap.
As a side note on cleric in general I really don't like that at least 95% of the clerics I see at cap are just tanks with 5 levels of pally doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Dark Apostate also makes for a good splash class for a few situations:
Undead immunities to ignore a sizable negative effects, including Poison damage and Stun
Great Imbue if you can apply it to a Favored Weapon, as it is seldom resisted and Spellpower scales fast in Heroic and Epic (but is less awesome in Legendary when Melee Power is much easier to pile on)
Decent Imbue Dice; 3 Levels and 18 Action Points giving 3 Imbue Dice is decent when considering you also get the Undead Form and Greater Turning to go with it
Like quite a few of the Archetypes, many of them have good applications for heroic leveling and newer characters, but do not have strong reasons to use in the later end of the game.
